At this point I'm just tired of gods in general. There was no need for SE to make them so... integral. Every single member of the Twelve could die in the next patch for all I care. In fact, I would be quite content with the story if the WoL were for some reason to be forced to kill them all - permanently.

I'm also tired of the done-to-death trope of mankind overthrowing gods, but in this case I think I would prefer it to the setup we have now.

Basically this. The way I see it, the Twelve are pretty much one of the more boring and useless pantheons of gods I've had the displeasure of encountering in a video game. The fact that whoever wrote Myths decided that they needed to make them even more of a joke by going on about how much they wuv their mortal "children" (the Sundered are for obvious reasons not their children) along with several other ridiculous moments like the femroe drooling over Nophica sequence has just permanently soured me on the storyline.

I'd sooner take bland and basic like the NieR raid series quests over the Myths quests. Their shockingly poor quality are superseded only by the likes of the patch MSQs this expansion. When they finally stop dropping the ball at every. single. opportunity. Then perhaps I will have no need to quite literally fix the stories they've been putting out lately to bring it more in line with the writing we used to have in this game prior to...whatever it is that's taken hold for lack of a better phrase. Goodness knows there was certainly no need for me to do this sort of thing back in any other expansion where the writing did not exhaust my patience the way it has in Endwalker.
