Third strike is that person who did this is literally taking up space from another property. Space that not belongs to thems. If Mao were adjudicatings this, Mao would send offending person a notice saying that thems has 48 hours to take down all offending structures or else account gets SLAGGED. Is quite obvious that offending person knows what thems doing. To anyone who mourns for loss of offending person's account, all Mao has to say on this is that nothing of value was lost. These kind of persons are NOT the kind of persons that make for a good MMO community.
I'd like a little of what Mao thinks would be justice. /cheer
Interesting update. 2 hours ago, there were 4 players in this FC.
Now, the level 90 char logs in and tells those of us there, that she's not the FC leader.. as if this absolves her. When it's brought up that we've seen the FC members on the Lodestone, and the "leader" is a level 2 alt, with the same last name, they teleport away.
Now, another member is currently in the house, and now there are only 3 members in the FC.
Curiouser and curiouser.
The level 90 changed their character name in the past hour so that their last name no longer matches the names of all the low level alts.. yet stayed in the same FC, and kept the same appearance. Where is the clown emoji on this forum when you need it?

Actually, there are a few plots in Mist where you can place furniture like that without the use of third party tools (my alt's FC has one of those plots though their plot doesn't directly border any other plots unlike the one in OP's screenshot and they've only placed a single item in that fashion for roof access). It's a bit of a pain in the butt but it can be done.
To get that taken care of, someone would need to buy the plot, make a good faith attempt to contact the owner of the other plot, then report the owner to the GMs for nuisance behavior.
Unfortunately, at best that might result in the removal of the items overlapping the other plot. Items that are overlapping the walkways would probably be allowed to remain consider how many other items placed in like fashion are already out there. And I wouldn't be surprised if the house skin was switched to the Shirogane Castle Walls to continue to block the view from the plot above.
In an ironic way I have to congratulate the person who did it for bringing attention to what a mess the ward system is. Maybe people should copy the image and tweet it around with #FFXIVHousing and the comment that this is what Mister Foxclon's Neighborhood really looks like.
Might want to tone down the reaction a little bit or it could be you getting reported to the GMs for stalking and harassment.Interesting update. 2 hours ago, there were 4 players in this FC.

The situation is what it is. At this point they've technically done nothing wrong. All they did was create an eyesore with their plot as allowed by SE.
edit: Final thought - wonder if they're in the process of forming another FC with the intent to buy that upper plot and that's why they've put up the nuisance furnishings.

I'm not concerned. If someone can obstruct someone else's plot w/ their yard items and the GM's receive numerous reports and ignore it. All I'm doing is posting whats occurring. Also, the use of a 3rd party tool to create this eyesore was obvious.
This person is doing what they can to keep ppl from bidding on this plot, or maybe even had something to do w/ why the previous owner abandoned this plot. Who knows why it's empty or when all of this occurred. All I know is it's a shitty thing to do in a game that's centered around playing with others.

From what I can see, the placard is still accessible from the right side of the stairs no?
But that aside, it's an absolute trash move to do this, not wanting people to bid on a plot is okay, but to glitch things in such a manner is just unacceptable, I am all in favor in glitching things a tiny little bit such as better placement in the garden to make it closer to wall etc, but to do this is just trash.
Also nothing will happen to that person, at most they'll get a warning, I remember a lot of people getting the response "It's their plots so they can do whatever with it" as a TLDR of it in the past. Toxicity in housing is a big thing and some people really take it to the next level, just like this person here.
It's pretty rare that I say this, but this person deserves some punishment, preferably a temp ban, both for being an ass and for using third party tools so blatantly to glitch everything through, and this comes from someone who is not agaisnt third party tools, I really dont care if other people use it, it's their computer and it aint my problem, but to make it THIS obvious and blatant is just a no-no.
Also please if you are on that world, bid on the plot to block them from getting it, else they'll get what they wanted which I am sure is to get it. Even if you dont want it, just bid, you'll get the money back.

Oh yeah, I'd already clarified that you can reach the placard, so actually physically stopping bids won't work, but sinking that much gil only to have a neighbor behave like this is dissuading enough. Even if you just intend to keep that person from winning, you will lose 8 and half million gil by not accepting it if you win. From what I can see, the placard is still accessible from the right side of the stairs no?

Either price is a stiff penalty just to teach someone a lesson when SE should be doing it- especially when it goes against their own rules.. instead of the player/community trying to stop it.
I agree with you though, Stormpeaks.. on so many points of your post.
So far that plot has about 30 bids so what they did failed miserably, if anything thanks to this post (and this also got posted on reddit) the place is like a tourist attraction and there's about 10 or so people here including me on my NA char chilling here.Oh yeah, I'd already clarified that you can reach the placard, so actually physically stopping bids won't work, but sinking that much gil only to have a neighbor behave like this is dissuading enough. I will say, if this doesnt get any sort of warning or ban, this game is very hopeless, we are way past the whole "People do what they want with their plot", it literally invades completely on the medium behind it.
So a couple in my FC discovered what we are now calling the Leap of Faith prototype on Saturday just checking out plots to be bid on for the upcoming lottery....and well, nothing but hilarity has ensued since. I'm actually surprised it has as many bids on it that it does! We've been taking bets on what the story is behind the Mountain of S** all day!and yes my FC reported it too, but have received nothing but their automatic nice way of saying we're not doing crap about it aka "we'll look into it but a reply won't be forthcoming"eyeroll*

I would caution gathering on the originating offenders plot or house.
The last thing anybody wants is to see the community punished instead of the offender. Know what I mean?
