Was any of the 6.3 content worth waiting 4 months for?

Why should you have to wait to get the rest of the patch that should already be released? The answer is you shouldn't, and said patch should have content that can last the rest of the patch cycle on it's own merit, not by artificially stretching it out by delaying it. Either that or if the content of said patch doesn't last four months, maybe the patch cycle needs to be shorter.

My life doesn't revolve around the game so the wait isn't a big deal. The patch cycle was already quite brisk compared to MMOs I've played in the past and Yoship's explanation for why it increased to four months, namely the amount of work required and giving the devs more time for their personal lives, seems reasonable to me.

They already do this in a form of weekly Blue mage challenges of old EX/Savage fights. I love this and do this every week (This week is EX whale again. Oh well...). Dunno why they dont do it also to normal jobs. Yes, we have the book, but thats not really rewarding and you can unsync it. And doing synced coils for RNG sticker would not be so great reward tbh.

They did this in 2.0 ( quest is actually still there ) to complete ifrit, garuda and Titan extreme and you get an additional currency for additional gear reward on top of what they dropped.

We know they can do it, and there is nothing wrong with people wanting to only do this type of content and ignore all the content below it, when you play the game long enough faceroll roulettes are boring.

If people won't accept normal content being a bit tougher then what it currently is, the better option is then to provide significantly more midcore content per patch.

They aren't. It is their own choise to pay for not wanting their house getting demolished. They will lose their house if they don't but the possibility to take a break exists regardless.

Which makes it requiement to pay a sub. Dont make it isnt. For you its few pixels. For some others it means their place of comfort they are threatened to lose if they dont pay and visit often.

I completly understand why the system is there and I support it. Still see a lot of new bought houses that are empty, completly wasted. But its just the argument why some folks need to pay to still take a break, which is bs. Its costly penalty for taking a break and makes a lot of people anxious about decision between money vs they enjoyement in the game.

If the game had a system where if you didn't login for 45 days you lost all progress on your account, would you be ok with this? If you are bothered by this, then demolition and the limited housing system should also bother you.

Your argument is simply a "It's in the game so deal with it". Bad design in a game should be criticized .

I can't answer the OP's question whether it's worth the wait or not because I didn't really "wait".

Granted, English is my 2nd language but I always thought this kind of expression meant some meaningful scarify has been made or at least some kind of opportunity cost was involved, so the end result needs to somehow justify that. But I don't really wait for anything, not like I made a vow of playing nothing else the last 4 months in "waiting" for the content or had to make some kind of investment for it to come out in 4 months.

I neither said that I'm ok with this nor that I'm not ok with this. All I said was that you can take a break regardless of if you pay the sub or not or having a house or not. Because a lot of people say "I can't take a break because I have a house". And that is simply not true.
