Strange that you believe an upgrade to the server infrastructure isn't worth it for them when they already announced a major multi-million dollar infrastructure upgrade last year that's to be rolled out over the next few years. At the very least the amount of housing will be getting increased via the new worlds being added though they also said the upgrade was going to include more than just the worlds and logical data centers.
Not certain why you consider requests for SE to address the supply issue as "ruining the game".
Nothing is being incorporated into the game that isn't being allowed by SE through their game design. They're the ones who decided multiple house ownership both past and present is not a problem.
And it's surprising that you don't realize for some people personal greed is always going to win out over community considerations. Games like this are vehicles to indulge in dreams and fantasies that not every can make happen in real life.
What would be nice is for SE to consider that when working on their game design so every player gets the same access regardless of what other players do. There's no limit on how many players can participate in Savage raiding. Why should there be a limit on how many players can own a house?
