It is as long as there aren't actual methods of detection outside of people reporting or people exposing themselves. How does one enforce a ToS if there isn't a way to actually know that people are using them without community intervention? If people can work around a system, they will. Doesn't matter if it's against it or not.

Just because there are no tools to detect cheats yet doesn't make them okay. They are still that...cheats.

Reading all these comments supporting cheaters and demonizing the OP for doing what they think is best made me lose a lot of faith in the community just now. I guess cheating is fine if it nets you that clear huh?

It definitely couldn't be because OP decided to play judge, jury and executioner, right? Right..?

There was literal public evidence of it in the form of the stream. All OP had to do was report it, let them get banned, and their static would probably all peacefully agree to finding a new team member to fill in because no one would have any idea who reported it or who was truly responsible.

But no, OP had to prove their valiance and morality to the world and so they stirred up the conflict themselves.

I think we can all agree that streaming it was a bonehead move but at the same time, if you're a small streamer the odds of you getting caught by anyone are slim to none, hell they might not even care because it wouldn't make the same waves as the number one team for the world first race cheating in an official competition.

Honestly, if they just agreed to not stream it and keep it to themeslves, I don't see a reason why they needed to be kicked. It was a rash move in my opinion and if OP can't even have an ounce of faith in their members to give them a chance to respect that request, why are they running a static?
