No more new races? I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of disappointed.

I'm gonna have to say I'm in agreement that what we need isn't more races but more customization options for what we already have, that includes actually finishing Viera and Hrothgar. Fem Elezen still only have two different face structures, they just padded the face options by having two options with makeup and two without there are some mild shape differences between the makeup and no makeup faces but they are still mostly the same. Hellsguard roegadyn should have the option to not have the nose strip, the warrior trainer doesn't have it (although this is merely achieved by using a sea wolf model with a hellsguard skintone). Also the weird rationing of eyebrows needs to stop. Some faces get more eyebrow, or even an option to have thicker brows, and some get less, male highlanders get none which is an absolute crime. I know some lorebook came up with a half baked excuse of it being a cultural thing but not everyone from the same culture would view it the same. Also Ivon Couerlfist had some THICK eyebrows and he was definitely a highlander.

The last couple races have been a trainwreck. Both remain incomplete to this day. Hopefully SE will fix what they have since they aren't interested in adding more. They all need a ton of work.

For the love of God, let Highlanders have friggin' eyebrows. There are much more egregious issues with the existing races, but Highlanders not even being allowed to have eyebrows has to be the funniest.

On topic: I would freaking love more races, especially bangaa. However, the reality is, or at least my opinion is, that Square would do a very poor job of creating a new race that isn't a copy/paste of hyur/miqo, both due to their design choices and their design restrictions. Au ras still to this day have silly issues, miqo'tes have issues, the limitations on bodies due to the way the game is designed is very frustrating and doesn't really bode well for any unique races going forward, and I'd rather not have copy/paste "new" races of existing races tbh.

If it does.
They better focus on the existing ones first.

I'm not - They've mishandled the newer races enough for there to be work that effectively warrants several races alone.

Furthermore, I think they should work on expanding the pre-existing races and character creation features long before they work on newer races. I would like to see a greater deal of customization across all races, not just inflation on the variety of different races.

Yeah I feel like fixing some of the character creation features would be more beneficial at the moment than new races, plus there is still female hrothgar that are going to come out. But new races in the future could still be cool too.
