It's none of our business if they are sending in a false report. It's irrelevant to the question. The recipient of the report can decide that. We aren't the paid community or GM team.Nothing wrong for asking for context to try to make sure the OP isn't sending in a false report, even if they want to skim on most of the details.
We have no idea if said person was even harrassed or treated badly in the first place. We only know they want to report someone and there is a chance they are sending in a false report.
Actually, it's a testament to this community that there was only one. Not ten immediately, like other MMOs.
Keep in mind, forums have a higher proportion of complainers than the actual game does, generally, so I find these forums more entertaining than annoying. Also, in FFXIV you can *do something* about harassers. Not so, other places. They're mainstream in WoW, for example. Cussing people out for a small mistake, while the rest of the group insta-leaves, in a dungeon they've never run before, is not uncommon.
And that is why I'm all in favor of keeping the TOS as it is. if you want to vent your spleen at people, go find another game, imo.
"The internet is a bubble dominated by the loudest, most unrepresentative voices; an infinitesimally small minority of a minority which, deaf to reason and the opinions of others, deludes itself that somehow it is the voice of the majority. An infinite echo chamber of shrieking, witless banality."
Might be a tad relevant when you realize that over the past few years it went from GM's actually taking the time to message players back and start up a conversation to more than not nowadays getting a copy/paste response which shows either
1) Lack of GMs
or
2) Huge amount of reports to shuffle through
So I will stand by yes, it is relevant.

It's not. We aren't decision makers for the GM team, how it is staffed, or what reports are worthy of their time. Even if we have opinions, they don't matter here. But you can double down when I'm sure what you really want is forum drama.Might be a tad relevant when you realize that over the past few years it went from GM's actually taking the time to message players back and start up a conversation to more than not nowadays getting a copy/paste response which shows either

Claimed they were being harassed as a new healer. Simply could of asked how to report. They didn't claim anything, they simply asked a question - The only person claiming anything was the person I quoted with the "I bet the so-called harassment is probably someone" nonsense, that's all there is to it, whether you know the context behind it is entirely irrelevant, they felt harassed in the given situation, and felt it appropriate to report/block - Frankly, having insight into the context is irrelevant since you yourself cannot do anything with it, the only person that can is the GM
Again, it is for the GM to decide whether it constitutes harassment, nobody else.
What one would or wouldn't perceive as harassment is not something you can really say. Different individuals would have a different baseline for which it would be deemed as harassment, in this sense harassment is largely a subjective endeavour, to which they're within their right to claim that as much as they like.
Comparatively, the following statement "I bet the so-called harassment is probably someone..." - This is both a baseless claim and only one which ultimately only attempts to undermine the situation with an irrelevant monologue.
The other poster could have simply answered the question, but they did not, all they did was proclaim they needed to know the context (which wasn't even relevant to the question) and then proceeded to spew out an irrelevant stigmatized monologue.
Edit: They can report as much as they like if they deem it a valid report, and the GM can either dismiss the report and eventually suspend the account making the reports (given falsified and all), or they can sanction those harassing, assuming they deem the report as being valid. Again, their judgment call, frankly, not yours, and most especially a poster with a clear agenda who seemingly couldn't even be objective when making their post.

100%. Weird how anyone could think random players on these forums are gatekeepers of using the game's customer service that is available for everyone. What one would or wouldn't perceive as harassment is not something you can really say. OP didn't ask for advice as to whether the forums thought their concern was valid or not. They didn't provide details to vent or get our opinions either, as in "tales from the dutyfinder." They had a simple question that was answered on Page 1.
