If that's the case why did I watch 30 people bid on the same house when the house across the street had 0 bids? And continued to have 0 bids for two almost three lottery cycles now.

Probably because the house without bids is in an undesirable location despite being "across the street".

Would you rather have a beachfront house, or a house across the street that has its view totally blocked by the beachfront house?

The people entering probably aren't trying to get their first house - they're trying to relocate the one they already have. And my next sentence that you so conveniently chopped out of the quote pointed out that people would still complain about not being able to get a specific location.

And there are others who would likewise go for best odds if they were trying to get their first house.

That's why I think those 30 entries would have been from people trying to relocate, not get their first house. If the house across the street isn't more appealing than their current house, there would be no reason to bid on it.

As players, our problem is we can't tell if an entry represents someone without a house or someone trying to relocate. Many assume all entries are from players without houses but that's simply not true.

And yet on Aether I'm getting one right after making a new character, on a plot with only 1 bid on it which is mine, in Goblet.

It really is because you are on Balmung, as much as I feel bad for you, its self inflicted seriously, there's many worlds in which it's possible to get a house, not only Dynamis, Aether is just fine.

I dare say maybe some other Crystal worlds are okay-ish but I dont know their situation very well so I wont talk on those.

Thank you. And it's the same issue i have. Like... i have everything and everyone on Balmung. My friends, my family, my FC, everything i've built up. I've been on Balmung since it was Besaid in 1.0. So if i left, i just wouldn't be able to feel the same, truth be told. *hugs*

I get it dont worry, I can understand it I really do, and it does suck, I kinda hope they'd find a solution even if its only for Balmung but sadly doesnt look like it's happening anytime soon, hopefully you get a house this round ♥
