It's okay to not like something, but just be wary posting a one-note thread is going to have backlash from people who do like and enjoy the story. That's just how stories are. Entirely subjective. Stormblood was the weakest of all expansions for me and the worst, so...

Definitely a "please do better" thread. Something more along the line of Stormblood, which I loved. In fact, I think I will replay Stormblood just to get the bad taste out of my mouth!

Its funny, considering that general consesnsus in the community is that story-wise Stormblood was the worst out of the four expansions, lol.

Its actually my second favourites expansion, just behind Shadowbringers. I love its themes of hope and loss, characters like Venat and the story which took us to beautiful zones like Garlemald and the friking moon! Each to their own though, would be boring if we all agreed on what we liked. I do hope the comment about Stormblood is genuine. It may not be perfect but its a lot better then people give it credit for. Think I count it just above Heavensward actually.



I mean, I agree with that statement 100% though it surprises me when people say that because… especially compared to elsewhere, criticising Endwalker seems to be an accepted practise on these forums. Sure many disagree, but there are plenty here who dislike/venomously hate it. Cannot say I have seen anywhere else have people cite the Genocide Convention of genocide to critize the game or a character.

people on twitter very much do the genocide route to criticize a certain character. and they do it a lot to where having a normal opinion about said character gets you told you agree with genocide or something dumb like that. there was also some vitriol from someone about hermes that really i would rather not repeat, but what they said was awkward at best. while the venomously hatred for EW seems to be lower on twitter than here, the hate for venat and hermes is very much higher and in ways i cannot repeat.
