The Blessing doesn't shield from those though. We get hit with them all the time. Sleep spell got us in the Ifrit mess.Charm, confusion, poison...you know, the usual status effects. That's partially a joke, and partially serious. We've seen normal monsters that can easily cause status ailments magically, like the last boss of Sirensong Sea who can force people to march towards/away. I would suspect a properly powered Traveler's Ward would be perfect to prevent that sort of thing from happening, and something a seasoned fighter/adventurer like the Seat of Azem would easily come up with.
