Why would anyone boost to plat?

If people have issues getting out of the lower ranks, there's fundamental problems with their play style. I guess it can take a while if playing very team oriented Jobs and getting incredibly bad RNG, but most good players can just go something like BLM, DRG, NIN etc. and carry themselves out sooner than later even if they have little experience with those Jobs.

Every time I am about to perhaps finally leave a certain tier that is impossible to escape, I get a dancer in my game who does not utilise dance partner whatsoever.

Just a recent example. Group gold/platinum. Platinum dancer without a dance partner. I know this is of little comfort to you, but they are everywhere.

You can do anything for your team and your playstyle can be very good. While your party doesn't care about the crystal at all, deals damage to everyone at once and to no one in particular, allows the enemy to hang out at your base, ignores "Fall back and regroup!" and one by one commits suicide. I'm so tired of this spherical reasoning in a vacuum where all your party members are perfect and you're allowed just to do your job.

They aren't. Your party is likely not very good in lower ranks and most of the time the same is true for enemy team. Your best bet is to play high impact Jobs with solo potential so you can tip the scales more often than not to get out of the miserable pits where no teamwork exists.

This is not the case, given the former crystal and many alts on bronze/gold. And platinum idiots are just as idiotic as bronze/gold idiots, sorry, I've seen them many times. So your arguments are not convincing to me. And the situation when you have a team that is weaker than the enemy, especially during prime time on weekends, because someone again decided to lvl/test/grind glam in the ranked, this is usual. Your rank talk is especially fun when you see someones alt in your group or in an enemy group and you already know what awaits you.

The piddly dmg one can do on DNC makes no sense at all without it.

Wait, I agree with the problem of forgetting the DP and the points made about the buffs and things brought by the DP buff (you forgot Sabre Dance, 10% damage), but DNC? Piddly damage?? This is one of the best AoE classes... I'm afraid you stumbled on people that just don't know how to play it really.

There's definately some autoloss games, but good players regularly make enough impact to climb over time. If it was truely so random or hard, then we wouldn't have so many same names in top 100 each Season. Some people even find time to push multiple alts up there (which shouldn't be a thing).

i dont forget, but lets be real here, Dance partner only works if the idiot PUG you put it on, stays near and does their job instead of..... oh.... i don't know.... chasing one person to the other side of the map with 2 other members of your team instead of staying on objective where the Dancer is getting flattened by the 3 enemy team members who know what their doing unlike the Dancers own team members.

You are just as likely to get a winstreak through Plat to Diamond as you are getting a lose streak back to bottom of Gold. The only real modifier outside of alts is you. If the problem persists after hundreds of matches, it's a player issue.

This is starting to look like all those "elo hell" complaints in other games.

With a totally random probability factor you have 12.5% chances to get a win streak (3 victories in succession). While this is a significant probability helping to rise rather than go down, combined with the impossibility to drop below platinum 4, I'm afraid that I do not consider 100 games a sample large enough to account for rng personally.
