Watch for sales and start collecting diapers now. (Either that or start collecting cloth, cloth was awesome with my third because it prevents blow outs but the work to wash them!) Hit up stuff like Goodwill and Savers for clothing; its not worth buying new; you can often find stuff with the tags still on it.
My friend had a baby a year ago and she only uses clothes diapers. One thing for sure to get during the actual pregnancy is one of those "C" shaped pillows. I dont know the name but everyone with kids that I know swears by them.
