Yup! For a pup who's only a year old, he's actually decently behaved.

Their last one, a golden retriever named Eddie, died to cancer earlier this year. He was getting quite up there in years, and by the time he showed signs of cancer, it was too late to get him treatment.

Bowser here is a rescue from a family that couldn't care for him.

So my uncles came down for T-day, and they brought their new chocolate lab with them.

His name? Bowser.



Little did we realize how hyper he was upon coming to a new house. He also learned how to climb up the stairs but didn't know how to climb down them. He also managed to stand up on his hind legs and give me a doggo hug, along with getting up on the island counter to see what we were doing with the turkey we were trying to cut.

We ended up giving him some of the meat for the stuffing we used along with the crispy turkey skin. I can't turn down those eyes.

Oh he was in trouble all right. He managed to get up on the table after dinner and take a bite out of the whiskey cake my mother had brought home.

Had a great turkey day. My brother's wife made some hella bomb ass mashed potatoes. I couldn't get enough.

Had seconds a little later on.

Strangely, we opted to go ahead and just cut a ton of meat from the turkey and didn't actually table carve the bird like usual. Oh well. It was still delicious in quality gravy. I love me some turkey. White meat gets a bit dry, but drown it in gravy and dip it in your potatoes. Yum!

Thanksgiving was pretty solid! I'm away from home for a while, off to college and everything, so I didn't have family to have dinner with. My esports team captain actually just flat out invited me to have dinner with his family instead, so I got to experience a Midwestern thanksgiving for the first time ever.

I'm 36 hundred pieces away from making the first relic I've ever completed in FFXI. I know currency and relics in general are highly devalued these days, especially with Empyreans, Aeonics, and Mythics usually trumping them in every category, but it still feels really cool!

Back in like 2007, I teamed up with a dude in the Air Force to farm together and make relics solely through gil acquisition. He got shipped off to the middle east at some point though, and then I lost momentum without him. As far as I got was to stage 3 on the relic great sword, which is actually still sitting there on my old main character that I don't feel like playing anymore(I guess it just doesn't feel like he belongs in that world anymore somehow).

It's weird, but I'm more into playing the character I've made for the LP recordings. I named him after an old friend who I've lost contact with who PL'd me in the course of several EXP parties back in like 2005/2006. He moved onto XIV eventually, but I never made it into his social circles because I didn't make it into 1.0. He was a really cool dude from Pennsylvania.

Yesterday I learned that, if you take leftover stuffing from Thanksgiving, it makes for an amazing waffle. Fill up your waffle press with the stuffing, press it down and wait for it to crisp up. So nice and crispy on the outside, soft and tender on the inside.

Did this yesterday for dinner when I got hungry and mom had pulled the waffle press out of the pantry because slab leak and frighteningly managed to clean out the entire pantry while I was at work, save for the microwave. Holy sh*t I didn't realize we had THAT much stuff in there.

Now I want to try it with leftover sweet potato casserole, though I didn't have enough to possibly fill it. Maybe around Christmas I'll try that.

Found out something pretty funny while looking for a physical copy of Pokemon Violet for my friend's Christmas gift. Almost every story was sold out of Violet but had a surplus of Scarlet, like they couldn't get anybody to buy it.

Not terribly surprising. Two very broken Pokemon are Violet exclusive.

Found out something pretty funny while looking for a physical copy of Pokemon Violet for my friend's Christmas gift. Almost every story was sold out of Violet but had a surplus of Scarlet, like they couldn't get anybody to buy it.

I legit saw an image where toy stories had shelves full of Zamazenta and Koraidon plush toys, but ran out of Zacian and Miraidon toys.

Do people just not like the red versions?
