What's the point with that quite lackluster story in Endwalker?

If nothing else the patch story has proven that trusting the nebulous "junior writers" proved to be a mistake. I'm half-tempted to wager a guess at who such individuals (or rather a specific individual) might be but I think I'll refrain from naming names. Those who know, know. They are the only ones I think that I trust even less than Ishikawa at the moment, seeing as they seem to be driven by spite for the better parts of FFXIV and little else. To think we'll have to endure at least two more bouts of their work and still be forced to wait over a year before 7.0 releases, terrible self-inserts, stolen OCs, and all.

Everything, everything tossed aside for this. Outrageous.

This expansion is all about 'hot' mom's, Loli birb, my loli goddess, boobies, a lot of 'hot' anime men in robes, idiot catman with a borger and a cookie.
I also think we got a new edgelord character but I dunno because the story is bad now for me to care.
