I am biased since I have a house now, but remembering placard spamming for hours only to have a relocator pop in and take the house because of that stupid decision I never want to see anyone have to go through that hell again.

Exactly. People need to understand something. This system isn't perfect, but it's legit the best we can have right now.

Do I want this to be replaced by something better? Hells yes. And at best, giving everyone the chance to own a house would be interesting, but that's been discussed in other threads, it's not doable. But there's no "better idea" being put forward either in this thread. So complaining that the system is unfair outside of obvious salt isn't going to help.

Say what you will about this system. Unless you have a better idea, I do not want to see this be replaced by something that can be as unhealthy as the last ones were.

Disagree we need to continue to complain about this system. You can't just settle bc it's the best we have right now. That mindset will only tell the devs to do nothing at all or take even longer to find a better system. This system is just as trash as the other system and we the paying customers deserve better for a company we pay $15 a month. Other mmos don't have as bad a housing system as ff14. Shoot genshin impact a gach game has a better housing system than ff14, a huge mmo owned by one of the biggest JP gaming companies in japan. We deserve better and we have the right to continue to complain about a bad system that only rewards the lucky. It's not our job to come up with better ideas, that's the devs job. I have already seen plenty of better ideas also. Make the apartments better, or allow housing on the island they already gave us. At the end of the day tho it's not our job to make the system better but it is our job as paying customs to let the dev team we are unhappy and we won't settle on a system that is less trash than the past systems.

Pre placard clicking, the OG way was you ran up to a plot and bought it when servers went live. I liked that one most- No clicking spam, no walk of shame collecting your funds. If I had a high queue # at login I just went back to bed lol

I want the devs to actually put the time in and improve the system because rng is not as bad as the old system but it get annoying when you put money down on a plot and someone comes in at the last minute bids on the same plot then the rng choose them. I been seeing that alot lately where someone goes to a plot that has one person on it even through there are other open plots that has zero bids on it then win and once the get the place they lock the house yard reminds empty for months on end. I do hope island sanctuary is them testing out instant areaing for housing because the demand for player is only increasing over time.
