Yes, I've heard about it. My gamepad friends have told me that it gets harder with every new feature. Moreover, embellishments in exchange for usability are not very good.
You are making the wrong argument. You cannot know for sure who needs/wants and who does not need, how much positive to measure in ounces and to whom. It's the same as... let's not build good and new houses, because some people are used to living in a trailer.
But this is all casuistry. The bottom line is:
1. Many people cannot use the option because the windows overlap each other.
2. If we are talking about quality of life, everything should work as intended, and it obviously does not work that way with the addition of new interface details.
3. This game claims to be quality and caring for the players, especially since the players are not passive observers and naturally give feedback.

All your arguments seem to be about why you should be able to give feedback, whereas I was addressing whether or not people want feedback in the first place. You are making the wrong argument. There is a point (usually once they reach the 1500 recommendation threshold for getting mentorship) where people don't actually care about collecting more recommendations, in which case they have no need to stick around unless they want their ego stroked.
