This is a thing in all modes of the game, but in pvp in particular I find it to be more of an issue. When the match ends and I'm mid respawn screen or something else has me occupied and that one player who did really well leaves for the next match before I can commend. Please let the commend menu remain beyond the player being present.

Absolutely yes! SE, please. And please let us to commend the players whille the rank up/down window appears. Losing the opportunity to thank a nice guys just because I have to look at the star animation it's sad.

great idea, its bummer when they leave, ,maybe even integrate comms into the MMS. also separate PVP comms from PVE

Even so, not being able to use this feature because it is overridden by one or even two popups is a flaw. This is wrong even from a usability point and needs to be fixed.

It used to be better before they released this new potrait feature for it, on gamepad you have to press so many more buttons just to commend quickly now

If the one person you thought worth commending has left, just don't commend anyone. You're not required to pick someone.

Yes, I've heard about it. My gamepad friends have told me that it gets harder with every new feature. Moreover, embellishments in exchange for usability are not very good.

But if the person leaves, they don't want your positivity.

You are making the wrong argument. You cannot know for sure who needs/wants and who does not need, how much positive to measure in ounces and to whom. It's the same as... let's not build good and new houses, because some people are used to living in a trailer.
But this is all casuistry. The bottom line is:
1. Many people cannot use the option because the windows overlap each other.
2. If we are talking about quality of life, everything should work as intended, and it obviously does not work that way with the addition of new interface details.
3. This game claims to be quality and caring for the players, especially since the players are not passive observers and naturally give feedback.
