What you may consider "looking good" others may consider tacky or gaudy. Fashion is a case by case situation. Some may like what you wear while others won'tWhat's the point of looking good if nobody can see you? There is none. I don't see any reason to bother with the extra side things like that unless your current outfit is actively ugly, which is like only an issue within first 40 levels of ARR. The only reason to look good is to know others think you look good, far as I see. Or you look funny. Or whatever like that. But yes, I genuinely see glamour system as a whole as pointless and worthless to engage with if others can't see it. And I am far from only one, and I am certain that mogstation sales of outfits will very much reflect that as well.

Welcome to society. If you don't want to engage with that, there's a wide selection of singleplayer games for your perusal.

"We live in a society". Very original.
That has no bearing here. Video games are not our society. They are an entirely curated experience that people can augment to their liking.
Also stop with the "maybe this isn't the game for you" deal. You don't get to dictate what games people choose to play.
Ninja Edit:
Heavens forbid people make suggestions for features they might like. It's not like we don't have an entire forums dedicated to that premise or anything. That would be beyond ludicrous to even imagine, don't you agree?
Oh, I see. Only ideas you deem worthy are allowed. Now that we've established that everything else makes sense.

Well, maybe people shouldn't play the games only to demand it changed to fit them against wishes of people who enjoy the game as is. *shrug"We live in a society". Very original.

You mean like the hordes of people who asked for features and items that are now part of the game?
Like all those people? They should have just gone and played another game?
The people who wanted a marketboard. The people who wanted gender restrictions removed from as many glamour pieces as possible? The people who wanted NPC's to do dungeons with?
All these things that the community asked for and then we got.. . everyone should just be quiet and we should have played (I'll be charitable here) 2.0 style everything?
The POINT of glamour is to change the look of gear for your character to something YOU prefer so as not restrict your look to what's "good" gear.
It being for you, or the benefit of those around you is purely subjective. However if your motivation is that someone who DISLIKES what you chose HAS to see it.. I'm going to say that's probably not what was intended.
Many games sell cosmetics that other players never see or can choose not to see, but always the commonality is that the player can see what they've bought. It's for the players benefit, not a guarantee that everyone has to look at it.
