i like these threads because you get to see people get a taste of what it's like to be one of the races that square doesn't care for; a few of whom i have vivid memories telling viera, hroths and even roes or au ra to stop complaining or otherwise defend square's utterly bonkers decisions.

it's also great because it's not like each 3D model is carefully and painstakingly handcrafted for each individual person buying it. like... you fix it once and then you sell it for 10, 20 bucks for the next 5-10 years without any more work needing to go into it. like, what's so hard about putting in a modicum of effort now?

It took SE years to fix the Hrothgar fantasia problem, so this fiasco doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

100% agreed. If it doesn't sink in this time that some things need to change, eventually it will reach a boiling point so long as this continues.

I'm not disagreeing with you Hroth players, but Mog has been releasing these one piece undyeable NPC sets since Heavensward. It isn't new, it isn't some lazy method they've recently developed or resorted to in order to cut costs. They've been doing this for as long as they've been releasing NPC sets. Minfilia's attire launched for 15$ on the store as an undyeable one piece set as early as 2015. Yeah, there are a number of sets that are in multiple pieces, but I'm just saying this isn't NEW. They've always been this lazy with NPC attire in the cash shop.

As for the tights colour oversight I expect it will be fixed soon. It has already been added to a list of known "graphical errors".

Tbh I don't think there are many here claiming that this is a new thing.
It's been happening for a while, and will likely continue to happen.
And it should be called out at every turn.

The store page still has the same pictures depicting this "graphical error" and has from the start, each of which showing the outfit on characters with fairly neutral shades of lighter skin. This was not a technical error, in my opinion. This was them getting caught after failing to hide it.

The store page isn't going to be changed before the item in the game, if ever. They're different departments. We can debate it being an oversight or intentional all we want (I really don't want to and won't pursue it), it's still a texture inconsistency which means it's the type of thing that will be called a graphical error and get patched in maintenance. It isn't even the first time. 2B's outfit and other Copied Factory gear launched in an even sorrier state than these tights, folks just don't seem to remember because it was fixed very quickly.

Been warning about it for years. This stuff does bleed over. People should always strive for quality. SE has shown they will budge if enough people complain about it, on a lot of things.
