I had thought them Amdapori due to the stone work being similar to the ones you can see in the Shroud. That and the spires looked about the same style. I still grumble at my own WoL when I see the Io and then the post modification Behemoth. Though I guess helping the Behemoth look the way we know it looks today is better than helping with Morbol designs.

It'd explain Menphina's symbol changing to include Dalamud. (EDIT: Also, you can't tell me NOBODY'S tried to take Halone's Mark and turn it into an altar in an Ishgardian cathedral or something; this would explain why they all seem so natural.)

I believe there's more than one of those marks that moved from now-nonexistent zones. If we assume that the rocks really do move by themselves, it would actually make some amount of sense that they moved themselves into more accessible areas, since part of their job is to be something of a connecting point between the Twelve and mankind. It probably wouldn't do for Byregot's mark to be off in a part of the Shroud nobody can actually get to.
Oh yeah, there were a few that were in other areas we don't have access to anymore (but I hope we will in the future) so it's not impossible that they were moved via changes in the land or the Twelve moving them themselves (the only sort of meddling they do in the peoples' lives lol).

I'll have to look around next time I'm in there after the raid... I've done a lot of poking around in AK/Lost City for my own curiosities, so this wouldn't be too out of my own scope lol. I honestly wouldn't be too surprised if it took on a similar look since they mentioned that they've changed depending on how they have been perceived. Any Amdapori who fled underground instead of into Abalathia's Spine would have been an ancestor to a Gridanian or a Padjali, so it stands to reason that their worship hasn't changed much.

Some MSQ bits and theorising for 6.4...

My theory (and I don't think it's anything groundbreaking, I think a few people have thought the same) is that perhaps Zero and Golbez are somehow connected from their past lives in the Thirteenth.

A lot of people have theorised that Zero is the equivalent of Cecil in this story (her being a PLD in the flashback, and the statue in her domain). Perhaps Golbez could be her brother as another reference, also doubling up as a parallel to Vrtra and Azdaja. The fact that Zero didn't know her old name makes me think it might be significant and that we might eventually find out (I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be Cecilia).

Or maybe they were friends - maybe the fixation Zero has on "what is a friend" is because she did have an incredibly close friend, once, and can almost sense that she did so but has forgotten who it was.

The "jewel in Golbez's heart" could even be something to do with Zero - maybe he thought he'd lost her forever and that gives him a more personal reason for wanting to end everything, or something of the sort.

I do still think she could be our shard - she does feel a little Ardbert-like to me, but I don't really mind if she is one way or the other - just something to think about.

I'm mostly just hoping there's some deeper reason for why Hydaelyn's crystal reacted to Zero and that it wasn't just some convenient plot device.

Her being an Azem shard and/or the Memoriate powers being a variation of the blessing would both make sense (Particularly with the original context that the ones who caused the flood of darkness were the 13th's WoLs).

According to the EE Vol.1, the specific trigger for the Flood of Darkness on the 13th was the Warrior of Light falling in battle to Igeyorhm. The flashback from Zero's past life doesn't quite line up with that description at the moment, but we'll have to wait and see.

We've seen a variant of this before. When Ardbert killed Mitron and Loghrif and triggered the Flood of Light, Mitron was near instantaneously transformed into Eden. You might expect a similar transformation to have happened to the Warrior of Light during the Flood of Darkness, and for them to be a part of some sort of progenitor Voidsent or some sort of aetheric black hole at the center of the Void.

I'm guessing this is another reason why the likes of Unukalhai and Cylva need to stay out of the picture for now, simply because they would give away too much if they were present.

If such an individual exists, I'm betting money said WoL that was defeated was Golbez. Because a defeated WoL being the progenitor of all Voidsent would be a pretty damn powerful voidsent, and we're dealing with a voidsent who is seemingly powerful enough to empower others without using anything else, and powerful enough to capture one of the First Brood.

I've always wondered how it would work with Cylva and U boy going back to the 13th seeing as how they're dead... Ardbert when he went back to the first was a spirit no one could see but us due to be a part of our soul. Cylva has already shown she's like Ardbert and co was on the source because she's been hanging around for 100 years and hasn't aged a day. (Either that or she has damn good beauty habits) and Uboy straight up says he died. Along with the fact they were only able to shard hop when they died and even the Ascians had to discard bodies to shard hop.

wasnt it stated that people on the first didnt age at all to begin with after the flood? i might be remembering wrong but i think they said it around when we first go to the crystarium. if i had to guess it would be the flood was stasis oreinted therefor ageing was put on stasis kinda like cryosleep.

That was never stated in Shadowbringers, the only one who never seemed to age was Crystal Exarch and he "merged" himself with the crystal tower to be able to to follow through with his plan. As a matter of fact he raised Lyna up from a little girl to the adult she is now during the 100ish years he was there and minfillia took over Ryne as a baby and multiple babies.
