Honestly overall, not a Feature I think this game needs. While there are some outlandish immersion breaking Glams / Transmogs...thats just how being in a social space is, not to far from Reality...I know its a videogame..but still, people will express themselves and dress up how they please. If you dont like looking at it...Im sorry, tough.
Better things could be done with those Resources and time then censoring how people choose to dress. .

Oh this is back at top again. Guild Wars 2 and other MMOs have an option to lower the character models to improve performance. Which is a nice feature to have to boost performance.

Mods already exist where you can change the character models so I don’t see how making everyone’s race their default model would be a bad thing. I get people want to show off their character but not wanting to see your character for any reason would be fair.

Personally if the game performance improved by lowering the character model to default I would have it on all the time.

Also having this an option on for kids would be perfect.

How does seeing someone's glamour affect you in any way?

Too scared that you'll be accosted by naked people in Emperor's New? That never happens. If it does, ToS hammer.
Too scared your immersion will be broken? As if the game doesn't do that anyway in the MSQ itself.
Do you just find it too silly? Again, the game itself does it. You literally have Aymeric going around as a blue elephant in the middle of the Empyreum for a joke.
Don't tell me it's because you get jealous over people having mogstation items...

You'd see some pretty garish combinations. Mismatched items. Absolutely trashy without needing to even resort to having skimpy people or clown outfits.

The loss is on everyone there. People take time to make glamours and not look like eyesores on other peoples' screens, but sure, let's punish those people just because the person in the corner has their smallclothes out.

At the moment, you're on Warrior with an Augmented Ironworks Armor of Fending, Noct bottoms and Demon Sabatons of Fending. What if we were to strip your Lalafell and make you always look like that?

To be fair it is kind of different, one side is asking for an option to allow more personal agency over their in game experience, by allowing them to hide certain things they rather not see, instead of outright requesting said items just disappear. While the other side is saying tough deal with it I will dress how I want and you will look at me be fabulous.

One is asking for an option, the other in a way can be seen taking the stance of well sorry tough shit. Seems a tad weird, granted this will never happen and is an utter waste of resources but personally one side does seem more reasonable then the other. Granted, I solved my own issue by using the power of things that cannot be mentioned, and overall it is awesome.

Firstly, I'm not asking for this. Overall I don't care what you wear. However, the only person this request affects is the person who wants to opt in. They have to look at your outfit. You wouldn't know the difference if they opted in or not. There is 0 impact on the glamour wearer. If you don't understand how there is an affect to the viewer, then I think you are just willfully ignoring it. Probably due to some sense of bias.

Lets say this effects me, because the time the devs put into making this feature, takes away time or even further postpones something else.

-More hairstyles for Hrothgar & Viera
-Making more Headgear for Hrothgar & Viera
-"Fixing" more older past headgear to fit Hrothgar and Viera
-Improvements & fixes to Jobs and Encounter design
-Making more and improving Side Content
-More better Glams
-Possibly (its a pipedream) creating new Job Quests
-Improving Frontlines PvP
-Improving PvP in General
-Making more and better rewards for The Wolfs Den
-Making more and better rewards for The Gold Saucer
-Even Better Holiday Event Rewards and Storylines.
-Improving and Updating the CC for more Avatar Options
-More Voice Acting in Cutscenes

I mean, those are just a handful of other things that could be done, but time and resources get taken away because they instead put it into people who dont like looking at other peoples glamours that the devs put time into making possible..
