So, you don't want to risk having some people just playing for rewards and will take any angle to shoot down adding RW to the daily challenges. That's the takeaway I'm seeing from your comments. I get why people would feel that way, but to call people dishonest because they want the devs to promote their own content is ridiculous. What you are concerned about as a possible side effect of a daily challenge for RW is understandable, but so are the interests of those whose desire for more regular and consistent Revival Wings action outweighs their concern for that some people will play who don't learn the game mode very well.

People can support Revival Wings and also push for devs to support their own content they created and published which is still have sitting there on the servers. The two activities - supporting Rival Wings and pushing for a daily challenge in the Duty Finder - are not mutually exclusive. You don't want a daily challenge. Noted. But not everyone is fully satisfied by the very limited activity and time frame that the Discord community can promote and maintain when the devs only offer the occasional inclusion in limited time irregular tomestone events and still haven't finished redoing the other map.

Sure, the Discord is greatly appreciated and a great resource, but why should it primarily be on players to keep RW on life support? What if the devs just decided to leave expert dungeon queues, for example, to Party Finder and Discords? I mean sure, those who really wanted it would find a way, but people who really liked expert dungeons would likely make threads like this asking why such content wasn't a roulette.

It really can just be an agree to disagree issue on the relative value and desirability of a daily challenge. It doesn't have to be antagonistic. In any case, I won't be online for several days or longer, so let me say it's great to see people sharing their thoughts and opinions on the pros and cons of such support from SE for Rival Wings. And if you haven't tried that game mode, it seems more complicated at first than it is. The Discord community is very helpful and has limited but fairly regular times when members try to queue up together. If nothing else maybe this thread and those like it can get more people interested in trying this fun activity in FFXIV
