Having to alt-tab because I am waiting on a weakness to wear isn't fun. Durability loss is fine but getting rid of the dumb weakness which just makes me alt-tab browse the web while waiting has to go.
For the person complaing about the unofficial translation and there being an official one. Why not post the official translaion instead of complaining?
With that is said I like. People will die in mmo, all exp/sp loss does it waste time. I like the durability loss, alot of games have it like that. They make it so if you die your weapons degrade. Die to much your weapons will be useless and have to repair them. With adding a raise that prevent it, poeple will be more willing to help each other out. Since it will prevent you from getting annoyed. This increases the "want" to party.
Crafters will be more needed also if those who can't party will need weapons repaired more often.
I think what is suggested is more then fair. And it gives a want with it.

i bet exp loss will return from ffxi, wouldent bother me since everyone will try to survive.
your idea for for no equip should also include no exp/sp while the effects intact or it would be kinda pointless since people like to freeload off there friends in a pt, or dual box. you need some kind of pain since you gave the ultimate sacrifice.
I actually have to pose a question to those against a SP loss system (no delevel, and with buyback):
As it is now, under weakness you either zerg, or it prevents you from gaining SP while under weakness. So how is denying SP any different from losing SP?
Also, why haven't you people considered the people you are playing with? When you die, yeah there might not be tangible penalties, but you have just wasted your and someone else's time. And in an MMO, there is nothing of greater value than time.
So I have a great idea. Let's just increase the weakness timer to 10 minutes. There, you're not "losing SP".
Just make Fame point of system that can be traded/become requirement for unique material/gear/ability, and every death reduce those points....might add Hall of Shame or something that record all player deathcounts /lol

when your worried about wasteing time mmo's or videogames are not for you cuz your wasting time regardless, years down the road when you quit or servers go down its all erased and you have nothing.
