I feel like it would be best if the "Oops, all Lalafell!" addon was merged into the base game. If I wanted to look at H*othgar then I'd be playing World of Warcraft.

I shouldnt have anyone else's experience forced on me without consent. It seems like this shouldn't even need to be mentioned, but here we are. I'm saying that in all seriousness.
It should be no one's concern but mine what I see on my screen. If I want to hide everyone else's glam (and I do, without exception), then I should have that choice.
If Yoshi P truly believes in player freedom of choice, and a player's ability to participate in that without being forced into something, then I should have the option to not consent and opt out.
Right now I don't have that option, and as it stands, this community feels very creepy with how they're basically forcing whatever they want on other players, and trying to argue that they shouldn't have the right to enjoy the game how they want.
Honestly, the whole paradigm is deeply disturbing (forcing other people into your experience/fantasy) and contrary to not only player choice, but individual rights. This is actually a big moral problem.

The opposite is just as disturbing and could be viewed as an equally large problem related to morality, so let's not go there.
Your rights are not being impeded in any way, shape, or form because someone decided to run around in an outfit you do not approve of. Just don't look.
But if it really really really means that much to you, then, actually, the option to hide other peoples' glamour exists... through the use of 3rd party tools. Such options as that, we'll never see implemented in XIV, as XIV can barely implement countdown timers without nearly imploding in on itself, so you're going to have to stick with client-side tools for this.
Actually, I want to go there, so please explain your position. The opposite is just as disturbing and could be viewed as an equally large problem related to morality, so let's not go there.

How is disabling glamours for me, somehow disturbing for you? How is controlling how I want to interract with the game, and enjoy the baseline models, in the world, without having to see other people's glamours but my own? I've said nothing beyond that I don't want to see ANYONE's glamours, and there is absolutely no bias towards any specific outfit.
Please defend the point that this is anything more but people trying to force others into their fantasy/experience, and using in game mechanics to create an unsafe space that says "my experience is more important than yours, and you're FORCED to experience it."
No, that's wrong. Evil even. Uncharitably and in best case, that position is nothing more than a thinly veiled guise to control other people, or at worse case, ignoring a player's consent and vehemently forcing their experience into another person's own private session of the game that literally affects no one.
Defend the position, because the gauntlet has been thrown, and I'd like an answer as to how this isnt anything but wrong.
Also, suggesting that I use third party programs and risk my account being banned because of breaching TOS is absolutely insulting. To have to go to such lengths just to enjoy the game in a safe environment is bewildering.

I would be interested in knowing how the game is promoting an "unsafe space" in your opinion.Actually, I want to go there, so please explain your position.

It's a simple matter of not allowing me to partake in my experience. If I don't want to see glamours, why should I have to?
If people choose to put something on, I advocate that they should be free to do so.
But if people want to enjoy the base game, without all the glams, they should have the ability to do so. It's literally as simple as that. I shouldn't have to explain why I should have a right to experience the game in a simplistic matter, while someone else gets to enjoy the game however they want, while also deciding how I should enjoy it too.
Guild Wars 2 has this feature, and has had it for a long while.
We should have it too:

Ah yes, a long worded post attempting to "act cool" or "dismissive" when shown that your argument has no substance at all.
Imagine, if you were a reasonable person you'd have said something akin to this:
Instead we get some long, rambling, hypocritical, lacking in any sound coherence rant.If you didnt care, you'd simply say "yeah more player choice is good, it seems reasonable to let people enjoy parts of the game they want to, and avoid the parts they don't want to"
I've said it in another thread:
The only truth is you're fighting tooth and nail to try to determine another person's experience, using disingenuous arguments, logical fallacies, or just downright incorrect information.- Don't want to do do weekly raids? You don't have to.
- Don't want to do pvp? you don't have to (funny how CONSENUAL PVP is a term. Strange, we keep seeing that word, Consent.)
- Don't want to do pve? you don't have to (there's pvp)
- Don't want to do side quests? You don't have to
- Don't want to enable glams? You don't have a choice.
Your actions tell the ulterior motive to be had here.
Here's a game that actually values player choice, it's GW2: https://en-forum.guildwars2.com/topi...s-and-outfits/
P.S. I'm here exposing charlatans all week.
P.S. P.S. It's actually a play on the Flintstones and the Sopranos. That's actually called word play, as it plays on conceptual expressions, not a bird sound. Unless you know any real cavemen running around your neighborhood, or have been to a butcher's shop as of late. (We know you don't and haven't).
P.S. P.S. P.S. Like the rest of your post, you're also wrong about the TOS on third party tools: https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...0c5d56cb2e4547
You don't have to worry about me, what the staff says about you advertising it as an option![]()

I give equal amount of substance, and sometimes sprinkle something extra when I feel like it, to whatever I reply to.
I mean, hell, at least I went through your whole post instead of dismissing it entirely without even trying. You know, like how I did this time, after the very first line.
I'm so evil. <3
You know, instead of arguing, let's put it to a vote:
