Exactly, at least Emet's snap serves a purpose too. Zero's m'lady tip is being used to punctuate her dialogue and the whole scene has to pause whilst she does it which makes it even more obvious how repetitive it is.

It does serve a purpose tho?

Its always used when she thinks about something
It‘s her thinking quirk

If you dont want to show confusion and uncertainty, hiding your eyes/face is a good way to do so

But to each their own, you dont need to like it after all
