I would give anything for the Feast to come back![]()
I find Feast as a gamemode something I'd enjoy coming back, as it put focus on the killing aspect much more than ground control. I'd want it either rotating with Crystal Conflict or be in the same map pool.
However, I am against enforcing any sort of roles and would sooner prefer the "one job per team max" rule that Crystalline Conflict has in place right now and go from there.
And yes 100% all maps, just so I won't have to permanently stare at Crystal Tower Training Grounds since season 13+.
However, suggestion - rather than having the gamemodes / maps rotate, have them be picked at random upon all 10 players accepting, to avoid people wanting to dodge specific maps or modes.
I would love them to bring it back. Even if the matches wouldnt reward anything. But I guess they would need to rebalance whole game with CC skills in mind, so they arent gonna bother. Also, all maps 100%
PS: #BringFoldBack!
Please no, if you want feast back, keep it separate on your own, thank you very much. I never liked that mode and I don't want it back. If it doesn't pop because nobody likes it and wants to play it, then don't force us to play it with you...I find Feast as a gamemode something I'd enjoy coming back, as it put focus on the killing aspect much more than ground control. First of all, I am forcing noone to do anything, nor am I advocating for Crystalline Conflict's retirement - I am asking for it to return side by side with CC.
Secondly, you say you hated Feast without remotely explaining why you hated Feast and how you think it would apply with the current PvP settings, you immediately just went "I hate it, don't bring it back" with an additional "don't force us to play", like what.
The reason I suggested adding it to the map/gamemode pool rather than separate was to prevent queue fluctuation and work from there to suggest improvements for the mode to make it fun.
So please explain what you hated about it.
The problem I had with feast was it was just "Focus the healer and train him down till he has no mana and then just slaughter his team" tactic cause once a healer was out of mana, he had no good ways to get it back from the amount of damage being tossed out. This punished Sch healers the most.
When you see someones glamour with non matching boots
I never spoke about any CC retirement, and I am not sure why you bring this into your reply? I just don't want to be forced to play feast because you want to include it into the pvp arena rotation. Again, you're trying to shove down a mode down the throats of people that maybe don't want to deal with it.First of all, I am forcing noone to do anything, nor am I advocating for Crystalline Conflict's retirement - I am asking for it to return side by side with CC.

The reasons why I don't like Feast are another separate issue that doesn't have anything to do with that reasoning alone, and would need a whole thread of its own to summarize in multiple posts, which frankly I am not interested in doing. Why I dislike it does not matter. I dislike it. And I'm sure a huge amount of CC enjoyers wouldn't enjoy seeing it shoved down their throat into the queue.
It's not gonna happen anyway.
Okay so lets get a small history or whatever I'm gonna do in this post.
I agree that Feast was a good mode and objective based kill and collect scenario. But why did nobody like Feast though its skills were somewhat very balanced for all pvp modes?
I will explain as a duelist/ previous expansion pvp enjoyer.
First off let's get into the tier list played in the highest level.

Now this is the tier list solo. But it gives you a general idea how a class performed.
Healers were unkillable unless they're grouped up on. Drk and Gnb were exceptional, while PLD had to do some work. Warrior wasn't that great and had limited usability and was team oriented class.
Rdm was overtuned damage and healing wise, as well as many charges of crowd control and displacement. After that, mostly everything revolved around Sam/Mnk skills and player skill. Many of the other classes had limited options. Dragoon was only favorable in FL and somewhat Feast based on comp.
Now the truth about the player base. The majority seem to be followers instead of leaders. Just like PvE when someone does the work for most optimal dps combo and mastering fights against bosses, they did research and everyone followed suit. Pvp was more advanced and fulfilling when it was that way .
It tested your reflexes as well as how to play different scenarios. Rock, Paper, Scissors was mostly the case in many fights and the intensity of being off by a millisecond can tip the scale to the opponents favor or your favor depending on defensive and offensive option oGCDs. There was also moments where you force an opponent to do something to make yourself have an even greater advantage. It was very calculated and well thought of design.
Many people dislike to do the homework that mmo veterans have subconsciously ingrained into themselves after practice and going through the steps of the Dunning-Kruger effect.
Lots of players don't like Hotbar cycling.. which made the game more intense and you had 2 bars and probably more in previous pvp modes, plus macros to do more things based on scenarios. Potions were the best cause MP skill for health is plain absurd by design. And finally the greatest aspect was weaving skills within your burst window.
Focusing the healer was the worst possible strat in feastThe problem I had with feast was it was just "Focus the healer and train him down till he has no mana and then just slaughter his team" tactic cause once a healer was out of mana, he had no good ways to get it back from the amount of damage being tossed out. This punished Sch healers the most.
