Suggestion for an item to be added to gold saucer - Chocobo Boots

I can only imagine it is tied to some major content they haven't finished yet... (Like island sanctuary, or more chocobo racing, or something akin). Otherwise uh.. oof.. lol.

Actually, that could be a thing – say, if back when they got the suggestion, they had some kind of expansion planned for chocobo racing, and said "cool, we'll throw the boots in as a prize when we add it to the game" and ticked the boots off their list of things to add... and then the project got shelved or cancelled and the boots got forgotten.

Don't think they have to, but it would be nice to see an update. This thread does look a little sad because it's something someone has wanted for a long time, it's not unreasonable nor does it seem to require /loads/ of effort, has a response even, and yet . . . .nothin' xD . . .

Even if it was just like "we haven't forgotten but it is associated with something that has been delayed" or whatever.

Like how in the Make it Rain event they had NPCs in towns again with the boots. I mean hell, the Racing Helm is my fave item in the game so much I commissioned someone on Etsy to make it for me

I mean this seems like such a simple thing to add as player gear. They already have them modeled for several NPCs therefore the code is there for it all they actually have to do is you know... apply it so that all races can wear the things. Not too much to ask SE.

Not yet. Saved up for the Helm when I was recovering from a surgery (Since I couldn't open my mouth so less food bills)

But the Chocobo Suit/Racing Helm are my fave items in game, and if they added the boots I'd finally have the full outfit for every class glamour I use

Oh wow, a simple item request from 2017 that already exists as a model in-game, got a dev response almost right away, and yet still hasn't come to fruition. Why not just make the boots available for mgp or achievement certs already?

I see this sort of scenario far too often. Generally regarding gold chocobo feathers and their garbage acquisition methods, but I digress.
