I'm of the opinion that if anyone is playing an MMORPG like FF XIV on a console, then a keyboard is a must. There is no good reason not to have one. And keyboards are really, really cheap.

Considering the game devs are working to make the game more solo friendly, I don't think the normal MMO mindset is the same here.
Also some people don't have spare money to put on a keyboard (before someone says it's a sub game, there's still the free trial).
