Just because you cleared doesn't mean everyone did. There are casual statics. Tiers usually last around 6 months before getting unlocked like that.

By that logic, the tier should never be unlocked prior to the release of a new one. After all, people are still progging 6-7 months into a Savage tier's lifecycle.
In actuality, unlocking the tier makes it easier for these players. They'll have a much larger pool of players in PF because the lack of a loot restrictions means those who have cleared can help without impacting coffer drops. Unlocking the tier doesn't stop prog any more than making Primal mounts purchasable stops people from farming them. That's just a silly argument.
An even better example. Hell, UCoB and UwU are nearly six years old and still have people progging them to this day. Making it so you could technically farm every single weapon in a day or two didn't cheapen the experience for those who cleared when you could only get a token a week.

And by OP's logic, the tier should be unlocked immediately upon release. Because if midcore and casual statics don't need it then neither do the hardcore statics that clear it all week 1. If it exists for people who clear week 1 and reclear for 8 weeks straight only, then why shouldn't it exist for all the statics that take longer than that?

... this is a complete strawman, mate. Nowhere does the OP even insinuate this. What they're saying is they can't flex roles for potential Ultimate statics despite having cleared the tier already. Which is correct. In fact, I was in that exact scenario for Dragonsong. I can play Dragoon and Summoner but don't yet have the gear for them despite Savage being out for eighteen weeks. And by OP's logic, the tier should be unlocked immediately upon release. Not to mention, they're asking for the odd patch to make gearing easier. The literal point of odd patches is catching players up. So it stands to reason unlocking Savage earlier makes sense. You keep insisting this will somehow ruin the prog of casual statics. It doesn't impact them whatsoever. What difference does it make to their prog if Savage is unlocked? They still have to finish the fights and collect the gear if they so desire. Most casual statics are simply excited to finish a tier before the next one releases. Gear is a bonus. Meanwhile, Midcore groups aren't clearing 4-5 months into a tier's lifecycle. If they are, they're casual not midcore.

You have literally no logic or ground to argue with. You are arguing for the sake of arguing or a butthurt delusional casual. And by OP's logic, the tier should be unlocked immediately upon release.
