A lot of the playerbase actually do like that sort of trope, or the more Khajiit styled looks. It's a lot they have to sort through, and no matter how they do it somebody is going to be upset.

The difference being Khajiit females actually LOOK like a beast race. Nobody wants yet another human cosplay race like Miqote and Viera.

Relevant playerbase, Churro. As in, the people who actually will play Hrothgar for more than 72h.

Edit: To clarify, I know some people are okay with Miqo'te rip-offs, but from what I can gather, they're a relative minority. Within, you know, a race that already is a minority.

Before the clarification, I would have said there would probably be a decent amount okay with those sort of iterations.

Nobody is a strong word. I think a lot of people would be fine with another "demi-human", like fox people. Anyway, don't mistake these posts of mine saying I'd want female hrothgar to be one. Making female hrothgar, like, a bigger miqo'te would be a little weird, also considering the male hrothgar face they rejected for being "too close to miqo'te", or something along those lines?

To be fair, viera were always humans with rabbit ears. The problem with FF14 viera is they're Barbie dollified and don't have any of the actual soul of FF12/FFTA viera. I loved those viera, the viera in FF14 ick me out (except Fran, who, you know, actually LOOKS like a viera).

I'm glad you and others can enjoy them. To me they look like creepy dolls in comparison to the original viera.

Hm reading this made me think they might make the females smaller in comparison to the males again, kind of like the Au ra =/…They seem to love height differences for newly added races.
Of course it could go the other way around and they will be made tall and fit like a female Kimahri.

I wouldn’t mind either height, as long as they resemble a beast.

I do wonder though, why don’t they just release initial sketches to see people’s reaction BEFORE they make the entire thing? For the surprise factor I guess?

Yeah ;___; I wasn’t around at the time they released au ra, but after I saw the initial sketches I was sad they went a completely different way and saw plenty of other people feeling the same.

I think all of this could easily be solved if there were ACTUAL differences between the clans and not just skin color, eyes and brows. Then they could appeal a bigger audience.

I would guess they would be smaller, or perhaps they would be smaller, but look taller without a hunch in comparison to males. I doubt they would have a hunch. In the mosaic (?) of the queen awhile back, that showed them next to a femroe, they were a bit smaller, and a bit more shapely, if I recall. So one could possibly try to make some educated guesses based off that.

I don't know. Even with all the dev time, and the years since this request was first made, SE will do what SE will do, and whatever trailer we get, probably leading into the next expac, will be what we get. Just have to hope it's something good. With male viera, certainly the surprise factor played a big role. I just think this is the way SE does things.
