I can tell how this will go.
Fanbase: "We want something cool and befitting the game like in these fanarts"
Square Enix: "The fans love Miqo'te, so let's make Female Hrothgar look like sphynx cats"
You may say that as a joke, but even that can work if given the effort :P

And you'd be right, but JP LOVES the "monster male, not-a-human female" trope, hence why many of us are crossing our fingers they're not needlessly yassified (...to appeal to people who wouldn't play them anyways)
It's why I keep repeating over and over for them to actually listen to the playerbase. Not to twitter. Not to people who aren't ever going to touch Savage, Hrothgar, Gold Saucer, or whatever in any meaningful way, but to the people who do. And definitely not to the random voices going :CRAB: [topic] :CRAB: on their streams.
Because acting on impulse over what they perceive is popular is the sure-fire way of killing it altogether. And it's just going to ruin the player experience, no matter how minor that playerbase may be. After all, they made it to begin with. Even if only a specific minority interacts with it, why ruin it for that minority with zero assurance that it's going to increase its popularity?

A lot of the playerbase actually do like that sort of trope, or the more Khajiit styled looks. It's a lot they have to sort through, and no matter how they do it somebody is going to be upset. It's why I keep repeating over and over for them to actually listen to the playerbase. Not to twitter. Relevant playerbase, Churro. As in, the people who actually will play Hrothgar for more than 72h.
Edit: To clarify, I know some people are okay with Miqo'te rip-offs, but from what I can gather, they're a relative minority. Within, you know, a race that already is a minority.
