New Ward Classifications are out!

You missed the part about how they are changing distribution of other wards as well...
I don't know anyone happy about this.
They are essentially screwing everyone over somehow.
FCs- don't win round 1? Too bad, all other housing is gone to personals.
Personals- want a large or medium? Too bad, FCs have more buying power and you'll be swallowed if you bid against them.
And Auto-demo being turned back on wont help it or make it better.
This is the WORST possible news they could have brought out besides making all 4 one or the other.
They need to seriously rethink this.

I posted the link how did I miss anything. I highlighted the new ward classifications. Relative to rethinking it I personally think opening up the wards to private buyers is long overdue.

Which is fine. Have you looked at FC wards they are still open with few FC's left to bid on them. Private buyers have been begging to get a shot at those wards. They also encourage the creating of personal FC's which are simply a substitute for private plots with FC perks. I personally never liked the idea of FC only wards.

what world are you on?! on Aether there are no FC houses and no personal houses left. The reason FC houses have very few bids when they DO come up, is that they are smalls, and they all want larges and mediums. Meaning all larges and mediums in the new wards will be taken by FCs, and personals will NOT have a chance at these houses unless they have insane luck and can win with 1/20+ bids.

Oh I see you are on Dynamis. Which doesn't even have these splits. They still have 1-9 FC only and 10-24 personal, 25-30 unavailable, and yes, lots of FC housing left. But this is not the case on Aether or the other DCs. Check before you talk.

I have characters on most DC's and been around quite awhile. I don't need to check.

Personal Wards are getting reclassified to FC-only again even in the new servers where they aren't getting new wards.

They will be open to everyone. These will be gobbled up by private buyers for the most part still giving FC's a shot.

So then you should know there are no empty FC houses on most DCs that are still open that 'private buyers have been begging to get a shot at'. The only NA world that isn't on Dynamis that has any number of notable FC plots open is Behemoth on Primal. And they are all small Emp. Most of which are STILL not going to be open to personals with the split they have done.

More braindead from SE in keeping the Materia split at all. Just open the housing for everyone on the new worlds. We don't need partitioning, we have a glut of empty properties.

I personally think opening up the wards to private buyers is long overdue.

For the non-new worlds it will be interesting seeing the salt when a private buyer is up against a couple of Primals with a few gilcaps each. One doesn't find it too hard to see that worlds like Balmung get ~1 personal ward, with the other 5 for FC multi-bidders.

Strongest suggestion for old worlds - unless you have a house already and want to move, give up on your Medium/Large thoughts right now, you are up against FCs big time, go for a lovely cliffside Goblet and enjoy the views. They are lovely.

Wards 1-6 and 25 are FC only. That's plenty. And to be fair, FCs have had months to buy a nearly uncontested plot at this point. Keep in mind, if an FC wants to bid on a plot in an FC/personal area, they could throw all their bids on one plot increasing their chances against the personal buyers.

The thing is this... if you don't own a house, go after a small. Then at least you have your foot in the door. When more wards are added, go after a medium or large and have nothing to lose.

And its not fair at all to force people who have been bidding for 25 rounds now on smalls and haven't gotten a damn thing to have to go for smalls when they should be able to have just as much a chance at a good plot as others. 'Go for a small and get your foot in the door, go for large or med later', well there wont BE those good meds or larges most likely for a LONG time to DO that.
