This is simply a woe is me and victim complex. Seeing this official forums are overwhelmingly negative, both in term of thread created and posters I fail to see where this "push down" narrative come from.

Most of the time I see complain, they try to make it they're representing a majority. But when they got counter, they cried they're being silent also by majority. So which is it? Are you a majority or not a majority? You can not have a cake and eat it too. You don't want to see all form of feedback, you want to see only the one you agree with.

And once again you're being the victim and blindly saying this game is fine when it's not. Please take your nay-saying else where, idc if people say things I don't like. I just want OTHERS, like you to just ackowledge the game has issues and for the Devs to speak on them and not be silent all the time.

Like my opinions or not. I'm a paying Customer, and I Can and Will speak my mind of this game. Others are free to as well.

And that will be the case no matter what. It would help if we had a community person that watch the forums that moderate it but however they stepped down back in heaven ward. I can agree with you where there are some malice is some of the forum post however i can also say that there our general concern and feedback. Should we take for instance the housing as a example. Speaking for myself i have a house but i wouldn't mind having instance housing for myself and others.

People even on here will defend that the lottery system is the best thing. Such as this gem here https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...ou-wanted-this. I can say i didn't want this and i prefer people to get a house. but people like rng that bad.

Or take in consideration with this teir of raiding. Since you do raid with multiple alts before the patch you should know what i am referring to. Another note keep in mind that some people thing players of ffxiv is a cult. A soon as you talk bad about it you are going to get heat because of it

Where does one even find good constructive feedback in this thread? You can't just say "more midcore" and expect even the players to know what it is you want.

It's really up to you in how you perceive the feedback - But no one person can deny anyone's criticism here.


I gave you my wishlist, several times in-fact. I don't want to fight - We've given tons of constructive criticism. This discussion and the graph aren't meant to scare anyone away, it's to make you process what's happening and to help form guiding questions and what-ifs. Because most of us in this discussion I'm pretty sure are dug in way too deep anyway. (It took me 10 years to finally get a Large FC House on NA, and not because I couldn't afford it)


If anything the only people actively trying to push anyone away here are the ones directly telling others to quit. And telling the players that have been subbed for 10 years to quit won't do anyone any good when the players that joined right before Endwalker are considered temporary to the base.


The breadth of the criticism is that the new Underlying Gameplay provided by Shadowbringers and Endwalker are no longer competent when compared to newer games, and even Heavensward. It has become such a curated experience, that it's forgotten what it is to be an MMO in this market.

Yoshi-P often replies to questions regarding certain content requests with "But they'll stop playing that content in 2-3 days". So we have to ask the question, why is that? Why is it that no matter how much content they produce these days, in this stage, does it never feel like enough? It's because the MMO portion with all of it's flaws, struggles, open world and passively interactive content have been curated out of the game itself in preference of instanced fail-free experiences as the common gameplay.


They're trying to do 2 things at once, and to me it's not paying off. Single Player curated experience for gameplay, Housing/Glam for Social. This has created a weird divide where you have the Single Player enthusiasts and Second Life-esque night clubs that spam us. Yoshi has decided that taking away all forms of frustration, and streamlining every bit of content is the best course of action moving forward. But all it's done is create a dull and uneventful world, devoid of individual thought.

If you gave me:

1. WoW's new Skill Tree or ways to adjust my own experience like we had before
2. Fixed the awful tick rate
3. Pushed more content/opportunities to open world
4. Gave me more reasons to do ALL Trials/Dungeons outside of a single daily.
5. Stopped Babying dungeon design
6. Instanced Housing

I'd be way over the moon excited. Because as much as we've complained to SE before in ARR-SB, I don't think we expected them to just straight up delete things. I hoped they would adjust and add to them.

Didnt realize you were judge, jury and executioner when it comes to providing feedback. Maybe if you quit malding over your own issues, youd realize those same people whom you are giving lip to have been also providing feedback on a myriad of topics in these forums.

What most people want from FFXIV boils down to the following:
1) It has a good story
2) It lets us play other games

FFXIV is no longer intended to replace World of Warcraft or anything else. And that’s fine! Many people don’t want that. We play the story, play the raids once a week, and then hang out with our friends on occasion while playing other stuff. Many fans have been vocal in their opposition to FFXIV being beefed up with content like other MMOs. They want FFXIV to be relatively sparse so that it doesn’t take away from games that they like more. To many players, loving FFXIV is taking a break, like how we all show our appreciation for our in-laws by keeping them at an arm’s length.

For those suggesting a more robust MMO experience, I highly suggest that you try World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. The game is going through a major renaissance right now, and the 2023 roadmap is looking a lot more packed than ours. And Yoshida says it’s okay! He says you should play other games. He gives you his blessing. So, my suggestion? That we take a break through 2023 and take one step at a time to enjoy other games. You lose nothing (it’s not like we’re getting much this year anyway).

This is not how feedback works. This is a whine thread and some of us are actually trying to find out what is really wrong and get some actual feedback from people that isn't just "this sucks". Tell me when is the last time you ever got feedback like that and actually had a clear picture of where to go from there?

You may bring up any issue you like, that doesn't mean people need to agree with it, and they are allowed to voice their opinions. A few posts back you said the same, but now that people are calling you out for how you present your criticism or rather how you disparage anyone who disagrees with you as being part of a cult, you tell them to BEGONE. Very ironic.

You may say '' well people tell us to quit the game!! '' as a rebuttal, but overall I think that's a pretty good way of letting the devs know you do not support their mediocre product anymore. Certainly more efficient and productive than having endless fights with '' culty fanboys '' on an online forum the devs barely read kek.
