    Hey everyone, OP here. I just wanted to address a few of the comments.

    1.) "I mean, it is kind of a waste of the one-time item restoration. We're nearing the end of this patch's lifecycle and spending something you get *one* of per account lifetime on two weeks of tomes isn't a great move. That being said, glad the OP got the assistance they required and I hope they're more careful in the future."
    I actually agree with this criticism, but it's too late now. I will, as you say, just have to be more careful in the future.

    2.) "Good job, on praising someone for doing their job. Also, hope you never delete anything you may want or need cause it will not be restored."
    Who hurt you?

    3.) "That's great to hear you had a positive experience with a GM, OP. You can actually leave this feedback directly in game and it will get to the GM team directly, just go to Support Desk>Contact Us>Leave a Suggestion and put it in and it will go straight to them! Unfortunately they're unlikely to see the feedback here as the forums are meant for feedback/suggestions regarding the game itself and not support related feedback or suggestions."
    I let the GM know I would leave him a positive review if Square afforded me the opportunity, and he let me know that if I wanted to leave a positive review for him that I could do so at the link he provided. He then provided me with a link directly to these forums. It may be that what you're saying is true though, that I can leave feedback for the GMs using in the in-game system - but that's my explanation for why I chose to leave my message here at least.

    I pay almost zero attention to game awards. Is that supposed to mean transparency and responsiveness of the game devs?

    Took them like, what 5+ years or something to finally address DRK Living Dead issues? Then just recently they completely ignored four+ months worth of SAM feedback on their asinine decision to gut what little brainpower the job's rotation had left (for incredibly easy to dismantle reasons), this in spite of directly asking for said feedback during their own live letter, lol. Their official forum moderators/community managers might as well not exist, their transparency is laughable at best even with those new job change explanations (I've personally disregarded them wholesale since the SAM change was just listed as "we're buffing its AoE" (and not acknowledging any of the other feedback)) and it takes them forever and an age to respond to shit (*unless people start memeing about it, now that i think about it. director sure was quick to put out a definitely not defensive statement about how there totally wasn't any bias towards blm during, i think crystalline conflict's release). Remember the PLD exploit in Frontlines? Needed to wait like a whole ass patch (and i think some change) for them to finally get around to fixing it. Game awards are just feelgood bullshit for people to pat themselves on the back for.

    Devs =/= community support.

    Community support is GMs, customer support (both live chat and call center), and the forum mods. Even if they don't post to address things all the time, threads are moved to where they need to be quickly, posts that don't meet posting standards are deleted in a timely manner, which is more of their job than responding to users by posting unless it's actually needed to, such as "I've moved your thread to the appropriate area because your complaint about pvp doesn't belong in the housing section" or for tech support. Despite appearances, we aren't a modless wild west in our corner of the forums, there's just no reason to talk to us outside of official duties. Not that it would matter if our Community Managers posted, people would just be rude to them anyway despite them having 0 ways to fix in-game issues, just like it is for any of the social media teams.
