    I feel like you are describing the old role action Fetter Ward; I don't seem to remember Purify coming with the Resilience bonus qualifier if you cleansed a debuff prior to the latest revamp. As it is now, you can get shafted by the server tick if Resilience wasn't acknowledged by the server at the wrong split-moment and you're back into another stun. Fetter Ward literally just gave you the same immunity as Resilience, just longer and on-demand to be used preemptively. Bard's Paean does this exact thing- it blocks a cleansable CC. The problem with how Resilience is implemented is that it can actually fail to activate and do its job thanks to unlucky server ticks. But the poor netcode isn't going anywhere. If they can't guarantee a crucial tool like Resilience to activate properly each time, they may as well remove the "upon successfully removing one of the aforementioned effects" condition and just make the Resilience buff apply regardless.

    Giving everyone Fetter Ward on top of Guard is a horrible idea and would break the game in half. You quite simply don't understand what you're asking for.

    I know exactly what I'm suggesting/asking for and it hardly "breaks" the game in half, but instead adds nuance to the usage of CC while actually eliminating the unreliableness of Resilience's activation because of server ticks, which everyone hates. The option to blow your Purify for Resilience to preemptively negate predicted CC (with the benefit that Resilience activates correctly every time you cleanse debuffs) just means people might actually have to pay attention to someone's buffs before dumping their stuns and silences and opens up the ability to bait someone into wasting their Purify. There's proper reactions to and ways to bait Guard, and its existence hardly breaks the game.

    This wouldn't even need to be a suggestion if the devs weren't so bent on having Purify work the way it does with their poor netcode. If Resilience was 100% guaranteed to happen if you met the requirements as soon as you hit Purify, I wouldn't find it necessary to suggest this solution. This is simply the quickest and most feasible workaround for the devs if they care because I doubt they'll improve their entire netcode delay just because one clutch PvP buff doesn't activate all the time.

    They don't need to change the netcode. They already have the solution. Just make it operate like the old resistance buffs worked in Shadowbringers. It is obviously possible to do so.
