    Besides Khimera, when does animation lock ever result in potential death for a PLD? Not even on Ifrit is this the case since you're usually not in a position to be plumed or erupted.

    I agree it's still manageable, especially with Divine Veil now, but your question was 'potential' death, so. =P

    One of our paladins tanked coincounter yesterday and didn't even have to run out from 100 tons, I think the buffs are pretty good could do with another skill to block though and they would be the complete meat shield.

    MRD/WAR is broken, they need to be nerfed, stances would do, Berserk and Defender. (shouldn't be allowed to change stances during combat)

    I don't think that's the solution, PLD shouldn't be a DPS class, what needs to happen is WAR needs less DPS whilst in a defensive stance/role.
    Yeah the War defensive stance increasing his attack speed is ass backwards

    And how is he able to just straight tank now, beside the 20seconds of Divine Veil blocks?

    This is a serious question btw, I haven't tanked since patch, due to work and timezone, so what has actually changed for PLD outside of those 20sec blocks?

    Enmity and damage from Spirit's Within I think is the only other notable thing. While Spirit's Within didn't get a direct damage increase, you don't have to combo it now for good damage, just high enough health. And it has an accuracy bit attached to it as well.

    I understand that doesn't help with damage taken, but it can certainly help with the enmity bit.

    Aegis Boon & Divine Veil I guess.

    No idea, I was the healer and was just watching, all I noticed is that on 100 tons he was taking 0 damage, it was probably just luck that coin didn't spam 100 tons, otherwise he would have been forced to run out.
