There are few mammals in the top 10 of the strongest bites. Mostly a bunch of lizards, especially crocodiles. The hippo is also super close to being #1, but it's never considered the most dangeorus out of any list on the sheer virtue of it being such a murder hobo that it kills its own kin. So because they're too busy killing eachother, they're lower on the tier list. Meaning a crocodile wins #1 by default xD

The scariest one in the list imo is the Jaguar tho. Because imagine a panther that evolved to like the water, to the point where it dominates virtually every aspect of its home biome. Lions have to stay in organized packs to compete in the savannah, their claws are sharp but not the best ones, their bite is hard but not the best one (an adult male lion bites harder than a hyena at least). Tigers are the apex of their biomes but they don't have that much competition to require major adaptations, but they just overpower people with their muscles. Jaguars are just broken. They have ridiculous patience and their eyes are adapted to detecting the smallest movements, so they can stalk their pray for days until it makes a wrong move. Jaguars aren't particularly territorial, they don't feel threatened. They simply have a "home range" to hunt around, so if they detect another jaguar they just go "oh, this is taken, cya then" and move along.

The best part is that it doesn't even need to use its claws or anything. Their claws are razor-sharp and can cut through your stomach clean... but their preferred MO is to lunge at you and use their bite to crush your spine or skull. A quick, effective insta-kill. Tigers have to overpower you with bulk and their bite isn't as strong as the jaguar's, and a lion pack has to first use group tactics and constant attacks to wear the prey down. Jaguars just... YEET.
