I quite like where it is. 300 matches theoretically, though the better you get, the fewer it will take.

It just doesn't seem to be anything much to do with skill. My proportion of wins hasn't gone up over time, and everyone else wants the same thing so everyone improves equally and we're back to a game that's so balanced that everyone comes close to winning but can't.
It's a massive amount of luck, and you're guaranteed to have more frustrations and losses than wins, for which you get nothing at all.

Pretty much. I did 3 Seal Rocks today and 2/3 matches we lost because one of the teams decided they would relentlessly spawn camp us even when we were in last place and the winning team got to keep node after node in peace on their own side of the map. Literally nothing our team could've done to salvage the situation because it was just red killing their own chances at victory and dragging us down with them.It just doesn't seem to be anything much to do with skill. Your skill barely matters, all you can hope is there are more inept players not pressing the map on the other 2 teams then yours and that the absolute bs random A and S ranks are near your base and not all near theirs.
You can be the best FF14 pvp player ever and still have a bad winrate if majority of times your own team keeps hitting the shielded samurais and chasing random ninjas all across the map instead of reacting to objectives, meanwhile a terrible player can have a good winrate because rng is rng.
Like, good luck soloing a node vs 15 enemies or being the only person in mid on borderlands, this happens all the time and you can't win matches like this, no matter how much your try and call out spawns.

Thing is, though, that if you consistently play that well you will win more games than you would if you were going 1/12/8. Remember, more kills and assists means more battle high, more quickly, and more battle high means more kills and assists, which means...
It adds up.
again, saying that ONE PERSON needs to get good when their entire team cannot be controlled by them is objectively wrong. sure individual skill matters but the best you can do is improve yourself and not the 72 other people. cant do anything when your entire team is bad. getting good does nothing about the match over all.Thing is, though, that if you consistently play that well you will win more games than you would if you were going 1/12/8.
