I agree. Having one phrase repeated over and over is annoying no matter how humorous the phrase is.

Now, it would be different if you could set up a number of phrases and have them chosen at random when you click the macro. Sadly, that cannot be done under FFXIV's macro system.

Regarding the other messages, it's quite easy to tell if my co-healer has raise on cd on CD or is running low on mp, personally I wouldn't need or want to read messages in chat to see that, not unless they had a real emergency.
might just be me but AST feels a lot busier, with cards, Lord and Earthly Star taking up weave spots you might have to wait a good few GCDs before raising someone if you're trying to keep your own DPS optimal

its definitely easy to tell if your cohealer is low on MP if you're paying attention to it, not everyone is so might as well put it on there but I guess it wouldn't change much if you remove it just make it a swift CD macro
the swiftcast thing is mostly for scuffed runs where I don't know whether I should hardcast raise or not since I don't really track other people's swift cooldowns (and they likely aren't tracking mine)

    I have them.

One for general purpose, and another embedded with somewhat quippy remark to be used at anybody who had died more than 3 times in a short timespan. But I only use any of them once per target then I quickly replace the macro with a regular raise/ascend/res/egeiro, 2.5s GCD is plenty enough time to do that. The only one that annoys me are the ones specifically made to flood the alliance/shout chat. Other than raising folks outside their own group when it's absolutely required, honestly I have no clue why one would do that.

I don't think AST is anywhere busier vs other healers in term of finding opportunities to hardcast raise. I do notice most people tend to mistaken a 'healer waiting 15s or less for swiftcast to come off cooldown' as 'healer trying to find good time to raise'.

I don't macro the SC and raise since there could be mechanic interruptions. I have a simple party message "Walk it off, <t>" to let any other rezzers know I have X person then hit my SC and raise the normal way. I see the more involved macros and it's like, eh, not my thing, but go have your fun. If I'm seeing it that often, then there are bigger things in that party to worry about.

    I hate raise macros.

They often have way too much text for offering a usefull information (who is getting raised) and their only purpose is to make fun of the person who died it seems.

Even worse when they have a sound effect.

I once was in a 24 man raid and the other two parties kept dying over and over and our healer with the funny sound macro spammed the raises... it was soooo annoying.

It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.

I've been complimented on my Raise macro too many times to ever get rid of it:

Now Loading <t>'s Previous Save File... <se.2>

I forget which sound effect I use but you get the idea. :P

I just use one for stating my cooldown on swiftcast, if I can't hardcast raise at the time due to currently ongoing mechanics/damage.

    /p Swiftcast Cooldown : <recast.Swiftcast>

Going back to raise macros + emotes - how well does this actually work? I would assume that the raise animation would cancel out any emote being used, so this would only be effective on a sc+raise. If the emote is part of their macro, then that would also get canceled by them giving some health back to that person, or jumping back into pewpewing if someone else took care of that. If they're literally standing around doing nothing for 5 seconds or so after a raise, that's dumb.

At any rate I'm having a hard time seeing how this would play out properly. lol. I've never seen it in-game personally.
