Constant Vulgarity in Public Chat. WHY is this allowed?

Just a couple of recent examples from the usual Shout chat advertisements:




A roleplay venue is one thing because that expands the in-game universe and builds upon lore. But sex tourism in a T-rated game? This stuff is advertised openly and brazenly, and not just from Balmungers. Most of these are cross-world venues with cross-DC clientele.

Combined with the growing modding community and it's clear that FFXIV is becoming less of a gameplay-focused MMO and more of a "Second Life"-esque social simulator.

There is a key part in that, you dont have to join the discords or to go to the venues

Yes because adults when seeing something they are not interested in, ignore it and move on.

Instead of screaming about how the things you dont like shouldnt exist because someone is clearly forcing you to read that chat and forcibly keeps your eyes looking at it xD

There's a ton of things that happen in the chat that is find completely uninteresting and unattractive, I dont go around demanding they are silenced because I personally have no interest/dont like them as if the world revolves around me.

Well yeah, the random rp groups in group finder dont come to the forums and demand dev resources to be focused more on them because they unironically believe they are more important than the average casual player.

Though considering how much you puritans seem to be upset about their mere public existence, I wouldnt be surprised if you believe they have some ultimate secret agenda xD

If you were genuinely annoyed by spam you would merely focus on that, yet you are laser focused on the adult aspect of it

They really need to make bloody Fellowships more intuitive and useful. Because for what it's worth, they're great to advertise venues. The issue is that the system is so limited, ads are easily pushed down to the depths of the netherworld, and worst of all, rarely do people actually check those menus out. Do people even know they exist overall? Especially the newer generation of players that came in after its implementation? Because I'm willing to bet only a handful properly explored the menu :I

Though... on second thought, even if they did, the best sure-fire way of advertising your venue (of any sort) is through shout runs. Because you can at least guarantee a greater portion of people will actually see it, even if they won't bother showing up for it.
