Matchmaking in diamond tier is bad

Look, you're not talking to someone who's played 2 games and quit. I've been trying since season 1. There's no "carrying"!
So please takes these narcissistic myths of "carrying" back to the Overwatch or League of Legends forums where they belong.

You can absolutely carry through bronze and gold. How do you think people get to crystal? Carrying doesn't become difficult till you reach diamond and thats only because it mixes crystal players in the queue and the only crystal players still queueing right now are really the top 100.

Being stuck in bronze for 3 seasons really does come down to the issue being you though. Its not a "you suck" thing, its just a simple fact. Record your matches and look at where you can improve and what you're doing wrong. There are absolutely times where a match is so bad you can't carry, but at the end of the day to climb ranks you have to be better than everyone else in the room.

When they reset everyone in season 3 down to bronze I was having a field day with how easy the matches were. People stand still and don't kite, they don't guard or use purify etc....if the matches don't feel easy to you in bronze then that simply means you need to change things to improve. Mindlessly slamming your head into the wall every time you queue isn't going to change things. You have to figure out what you're doing wrong.

I don’t think people are trying to be rude. I’m sure you can get out of bronze but you are definitely doing something wrong atm if you’ve been stuck there just have to figure out what. it’s fine to admit that you made a mistake. i know someone else who is hard stuck bronze which is odd because they play other pvp games well and do hard content in ffxiv well, I really have no idea why they’re hard stuck but it happens I guess.

Jamie... I'm not sure how to tell you this.

Discounting my previous Feast experience, I play since Season 1 of Crystalline Conflict.

Season 1, we all were trying the new format so less carrying was done. I got Crystal.
Season 2, I started maining specific jobs such as Dark Knight and Gunbreaker. I started Plat and got to Crystal.

Season 3, we all got put to Bronze 3. I climbed to Plat 1 carrying multiple Bronze games in the process by simply doing as much as I could.
In the same season, I changed servers from Odin to Alpha for a house - I started from Unranked. I climbed to Plat within two evenings of playing and ended in Diamond because I was bored.

Season 4 is now out, I had at least three matches in which it was Gold + 4x Bronze on each side, which I carried by focusing the enemy who had Gold, then going through the hoops and jumping each other player until it was a team wipe. I started at Gold 1, dropped to Gold 3 and I am now Diamond 5 again, within a single session.

You can 100% carry Bronze games if you have the skill required and are not playing jobs heavily reliant on how the team performs (Scholar for example, it amplifies the team mainly).

You cannot carry however if you lack various skill sets. Carrying means doing above average, so if you are doing average or below in your skill tier, then this is your skill tier until you say "f*** it" and train + learn from your mistakes. Ask people to help you by reviewing your games or giving you tips for the job you play.

People are just telling you you're bad, but I just want to advise to look at your own actions and min-max (since you can control those). See where you missed a good LB timing or your crowd control timings where on point.

Other advice I can give is: Always be casting! Make sure, doesn't matter on who, your abilities are always on cooldown and used on anyone in the objective.
The matchmaking is mostly luck based with a hint of MMR so don't feel down if you're having a bad spree.

Always be casting and always contest objective. Focus on those.
