Eagerly awaiting the day this happens. The sooner Venat becomes nothing more than another completely blocked out memory in my head, the better.

It's interesting to see so much flip flopping around from the same sort of people who not too long ago were saying things like "just picking up mercenaries at a bar for our party would be boring" only for them to now be in favor of more small scale conflicts when presented with the alternative of the Source being subject to an invasion or rejoining.

Contrarians for the sake of being contrarian, and directly falling in line with the idea that FFXIV players have trouble adjusting to stories that don't revolve around their egos and power fantasies where they always win.

Time for the WoL to be taken down a peg and humbled, along with the rest of the Source. Voidsent invasion or a rejoining can still easily pave the way for an expansion set in single region/nation, just with a little extra going on in the background. Endwalker was already our burning of Teldrassil, time for the world to actually reflect that.

Burn Limsa and Gridania to the ground. Let Ala Mhigo and the other newfound democracies crumble into dust and be taken over by more interesting leaders who aren't afraid to do whatever it takes to survive and put their own first. You're not gonna sell a player like me on a world where there's hardly anyone worth rooting for associated with these nations, with goodie-two-shoes and their House of Commons and Lords. Please.

I'll gladly take a world full of nobles and princes like FFXVI's is over how The Source turned out any day. FFXIV's world is not one that I can recommend to someone who wants nations and factions worth getting into. Even with the mind-boggling writing of Shadowlands I'd still choose the nations in WoW and their leaders over FFXIV's with how babified and toothless they've all become.

The sort of pride one gets when they're part of a cool nation, like Garlemald or Ishgard, is distinctly lacking in this game when you compare it to the way players feel about nations like Silvermoon in WoW. They certainly aren't hurting for variety in that game, whereas here every nation the WoL ploughs through ends up pretty much the same, except for Doma whose leader's actions are excused because bad guys.

Says the poster who posts in multiple threads about wanting high fantasy, but is all over the Garleans who drive 20th century cars, ride trains, shoot guns, and live in skyscrapers. Then making a fanfic and saying that it's better that the story told by the writers and that you demand SE listen to your ideas or lose your sub.

Voidsent are most likely going to be dealt with before 7.0 since Yoshi-P said that nothing going on right now will give us an idea of what 7.0 is about.

Rejoinings can't happen anymore because even with Hydaelyn gone and the existence of her barriers left in the air, it requires the aether from one world to be purposefully and carefully altered to match an equal change in aether on the Source. If all the Ascians are gone, then there are no being left who can cross the rift alive to make such a plan. And besides that, we already had that entire storyline for an expansion and there's no point of repeating it. A threatened Rejoining won't have the same stakes as the first one did and it's boring storytelling to do the same thing over and over again, which is also why the Garleans have been dealt with.

Careful, you're going to cut yourself on that edge.
