They'll get help when the moon rabbits are fed!!!
The VIth legion still sitting cozy with their cruiser in Azys Lla is also a touch awkward considering that they said they intended to return home with Regula's body so the guy could get a proper burial. I think the last time they were mentioned was in Endwalker where it's stated they merged with some of the other legions that still had leadership intact.
I do feel like the remaining Garlean legions as a whole are a big elephant in the room given that nearly half of them are still unaccounted for and we've already seen what they can do when they decide to go rogue like with IVth and VIIth.
<nice seeing the funny responses in this, and other threads by all. even if they are against the op in other threads for acceptable reasons.>
Yeah, agreed that they'll hopefully make changes/text changes/new content covering the regions with some left over garlean threads. As others have said.
<since it isn't to hard, to logic out what SE may do, or have The WoL/D handle. or tbh, the GCoEorzea, and The Far Eastern Allies.>
Be it as Some said, Keeping The Peace. Or Reaping the Weeds at the root before they spread with others.
<which tbh, if we are adventuring again in the future. it'll be something we are likely to run into. Probably a largely Affected area/zone that has yet to recover, thus leaving any garlean presence to wane either stable, or chaotic. Status quo, or Anarchy. New State, or not.>
I'm just imagining a Garlean ambassador in some far-off locale seated alone at his desk, furiously scribbilng his 16th communique back to the homeland. He just kicked out the sixth person to tell him the ludicrous -- the Empire had fallen -- and he's getting sick of the locals making a mockery of the glory of Garlemald. He requested an immediate invasion to bring the locals to heel, but so far-- nothing.
There were real life soldiers in the Pacific who never learnt WW2 ended.I'm just imagining a Garlean ambassador in some far-off locale seated alone at his desk, furiously scribbilng his 16th communique back to the homeland. In 1974, Hiroo Onoda, a Japanese army intelligence officer, was finally persuaded to come out of hiding by a former comrade on the Philippine island of Lubang. Onoda-san wept as he agreed to lay down his rifle, unaware that Japanese forces had surrendered 29 years earlier.
In 1972, Shoichi Yokoi was found on Guam with no idea that the war had ended.
In 2005, Yoshio Yamakawa and Tsuzuki Nakauchi were found on a Philipines Island, both men in their late 80s still thought the war was on, and were hiding out for 60 years as they had deserted and didn't want to be tried as traitors.
やはり、お前は……笑顔が……イイ
I'd heard of the first one, but I have sympathy for the type. "Difficult" can't even describe how it must feel to live most of your natural life hand to mouth, then suddenly find out it was all unnecessary and you did it all for nothing. It's even worse to find something like this out in your 80s -- yeah, I'm sure they were glad they were rescued, but that's still a terrible thing to find out so late in life. There were real life soldiers in the Pacific who never learnt WW2 ended.
