Because it is only numbered in the English version.
German, French and japanese is using ice, icera, icega, iceka. Etc.

German original FFVII used numbers.

I'd kill to have an option to switch the naming convention. Grown up playing previous FF series enough to get used to seeing -ara, -aga, -aja naming as opposed to I, II, III, IV (FF1 was an exception) etc.

Going back to topic... I've ran Variant Dungeon several times since its inception. Across my attempt to get all 12 notes (I did not actively try to do it, I just let the party decide where to go), I've had 3 memorable runs:

• Party 1 = MNK and GNB had a brief argument which ending they want to get on middle path. Guess it's normal to see this sort of exchange in this kind of dungeon. This is also when I first learned the dungeon has notes we can work on.
• Party 2 = A NIN got salty over a first timer accidentally stepping onto the fluffy plants on left path and proceed to get passive aggressive. But thankfully the other guy steps in. Not cool NIN, not cool at all.
• Party 3 = The most memorable of 3. Two exclusive specimens crosses path and thus creating a smashing spectacle. 'Lower than AST's dps'-SAM & 'Zero dmg'-WHM spewing vitriols at each other. Apparently enjoyed my popcorn too much that I forgot to screenshot their exchanges before the server decided to erase the evidence and DDoS happened D: Here's the gist of it (I am the AST), it happened right after we down'ed the hecaton boss:

Ran into curebot in Heroes. No Dia, no Holy, just Cure, Cure II, and Regen. They used Asylum on boss 1. Left after we killed it. Thanks but my MGP is more important than relics that are already outgeared (tome farming).

Titan Hard in trial roulette. I've never seen so many people eat Landslides before. Seriously, I saw Bomb Boulder patterns I haven't seen since Heavensward. I forgot he even had more than two patterns.

My favorite is when people get entombed and others don't attempt to free them until he targets a landslide on them...THEN they free them so they have no chance to get out of the way. I've seen it happen to others so many times.

Time for one of mine while levelling SMN.

In the Aetherochemical Research facility I got distracted by one of our kittens acting strangely. This should have been a warning, but I ignored it and went into my next roulette.

Then half way through Pharos Sirius (H) I AFK'd. I never told the group why, I didnt say anything at all, I doubt they would even want to know and it didnt seem a good idea less it got memed on the reddit thread.

The kitten got squits, all across the floor and proceeded to run off leaving a trail behind him. Thank god its a hard floor and not carpet. So, yeah, that happened today. Kitten seems fine, vets if it doesnt clear up in the morning.

Happens a lot in Extreme. It's ok to weaken the tombs, but too many people attack them at once. Could swear the Landslide hitbox is less forgiving in that fight too.

I had to leave halfway through a dungeon to check whether the farm outside my house was in danger because a large fire nearby was approaching. Their reactions were "What???" before I left.

For me the worst part is not getting esuna my damage down if I get entombed as a DPS.
It might not be doom or such but it bothers me a lot having that for a whole minute aaaa
