What I usually do is gap-close, AOE - strafe (reposition) and the AOE Upheaval to tag anything that was missed. Tomahawk as I run to the next group. It is uncommon for anything to peel off. A determined DPS that opts to burn their single-target abilities instead of AOE abilities might peel one off. But to be fair, one mob wouldn't kill them anyway.

Just go 90 MCH and spam a ARR extreme unsynched, you'll finish the book in under 10 minutes and no need to interact with the rabble

Lol why did I just get flashbacks to that raid lead who was recorded ripping that girl apart for not having enough tome gear for their group?

It's mainly expected of you to wall to wall in duties, as tank if my healer asks for short pulls or seems to struggle (pretty much never because I know how to cycle out mits, I use clemency depending if the healer is really struggling but that's pretty rare too). If the healer is new or doesn't want to big pull, I generally think it's fine, In experts it's kind of meh by 90 you should be able to gauge how much you heal but I can generally understand if they don't wanna anyway, but I'll always default to wall to wall unless it's a early dungeon.

If a dps pulls and gets aggro, its pretty simple to pull aggro back, so it's fine I rather not them mess with aggro (esp physranged/casters who pull it then stand so far away, plz if you get aggro just be next to me, I prolly understand if a blm can't tho), if DPS is forcing pulls just keep pull it, I'm sure the healer rather focus on healing you then splitting heals between you or the dps, if they're struggling to pull you could ask them to not pull just be careful about how you do so, I really don't know though cuz It's really rare that I'll struggle with a pull.

In a situation where someone is sitting in TB's? try to move away from them I guess, generally DPS should move away from Tank busters if they can esp cuz sometimes (with cleave TB's) you can accidently get another person cleaved, just keep in mind you shouldn't have to play around players purposely trolling you and if they take damage it's there fault. (maybe they thought it was a stack lol? no clue unless they were trolling...)

It's really the opposite, most people assume you're ok with wall to wall you're expected to pull, unless it's like ARR or something but we're talking experts here.

And what if the healer decides to heal that mean ol' DPS that ran in front of you? Are you going to start tanking now or will you let the healer die as well?
I'll pull for the Healer, yeah. Since you bring that up: If the party rolls with it, I roll with it even if I dislike the runner. Thing is sometimes the whole party (Healer Included) will stop and let runner die as well.
Democracy I guess? I don't mind that. Do you?

You're not entirely wrong. The difference is I'm not going out of my way to act this way unprovoked, and I'll bend for the party. Runners usually don't unless they die as consequence of their mad rush.
I'm not a paragon of virtue lol, never said that. I do try to be better.

*Edit: I don't mind wall-to-walls. I dislike DPS forcing them.

For now I just walk behind and wait until the mobs are all pulled together in one spot and then start doing damage but it annoys me being a fast paced class and having to stroll behind the adds.
Your tank should have used their aoe more. Keeping aggro is braindead easy as a tank nowadays. You did nothing wrong. Burn the mobs!

Legacy and I see a new player, watch him watch the cutscene, so I think "aww, nice, a new player. I won't go too fast, then". Somehow I didn't see the message "a new player is here etc etc" so I still didnt think anything of it. This little lala guy runs ahead of everybody on rdm as fast as he can, cuts the corner and begins to pull LOL. Short story, i took it as a challenge and never let him get aggro for more than 0.03^ -10000 seconds, and even watch for when he intentionally tried to single target a mob with instants to get aggro. PROVOKE TIME! WHOOO!

so yea, after a bit, i think "ok so maybe this healer might not like this pace, but they certainly aren't calling out the rdm" so I just assume everyone's ok and continue. The healer never really had to heal me anyway unless they just felt scared or obligated to, but I surely wasn't scared . I'm a war! lol

I thought he was having fun, but he just keeps going. It's starting to become irritating now, because now I feel like I'm being pulled around by some rando online when I though he just wanted to get that out of his system, so I make sure I remind him "hey, if you wanted speed, you should have brought a peloton along with your group" (he was grouped with a second rdm). All he says is "?" and then continues to remember after every fight that he absolutely has to make every millionth of a second count, because (I'm guessing) his group tonight won't accept him in a raid if he doesn't make sure to get those weekly tokens (lol).

    Soooo... to my question:

if I encounter this again, and somebody else in the party is actually new or doesn't like that pace, what is the best way to handle this? Typically, people will speak up, and it makes it easier to understand what somebody is able to keep up with or not, so I -always- make sure to accomodate, because I love people and want to be there for them. However, if I had a guy like the one above in my group again doing what he did, and the new person was too self-conscious to speak up, I could just let the lala die and laugh at him, but the healer would proabbly feel obligated to heal them, and run ahead ot try to keep that dude alive, then possibly get mad at me for standing behind and calling it toxic. So how could this be handled? Shouldn't there be some kind of dungeon etiquette? In real life, it is quite troublesome to interact with people at times, but it is absolutely necessary for a healthy and functioning society, hence, the old statement "I hate to be a bother, but..."
Just pull the aggro off of the DPS and keep it moving. Only takes 1-2 button presses to grab and maintain aggro. In a level 90 dungeon nobody is really new at that point. Pulling wall to wall has been roughly the same since Satasha. AOE and uses cool downs.

it makes me mad how he and others who talk like him towards anybody on any subject on any forum online get the most upvotes. It's dispicable. Logic and discussion just seemingly don't exist anymore when people like this are around. Thankfully, some people who read and reply against people like that exist here online, so that gives me some hope lol
