    Dungeon Variety

I would really like to see more dungeon variety in the aspects of not all dungeons should be timed. Perhaps the timer should only be in certain dungeons for the speed runs and once that timer runs out you fail the speed run but the dungeon isn't over. I understand with the current way the servers are set up and instances can only take up so much space etc. Though in 2.0 I would hope to see some other dungeons that doesn't involve getting through them as fast as possible or only with a one hour timer on it.

Also add some different kind of content and objectives based in the dungeons to spice them up a little bit. I would also like to hear other peoples ideas of what they would like to be seen done with dungeons that involve no timer and even some that does involve a timer.

I'd like to see massive dungeons with at least 6-7 bosses each.

I would be happy if DH and DH2 didn't have the same music....

    And same scenery...

    And same rooms....

And same (okey, slightly bigger) mid-level boss....

This is why I call it DH2....

Problem with removing time limit on instanced dungeons is mainly some parties would just stay inside all day, not allowing other ppl to enter, hence also the timed re-entry. If they weren't instanced and therefore not timed, you would also have people camping inside all day. Maybe once we have new servers, these would allow for a longer time limit and even a wider allowance of parties until server congestion, so indeed puzzles and the likes have a chance to be implemented. The idea of course is nice, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

This shouldn't be an issue at all. Though I know with the current crappy servers it is but hopefully in 2.0 limited space in a server for instanced dungeons shouldn't be an issue. Other MMOs with instanced content does not suffer from the issue so why should FFXIV? Also they could have a soft time limit cap say maybe 3 hours or something without a timer and then you get booted automatically. I just hate being forced to only have an hour especially during the learning process so much time is wasted between wiping and leaving and waiting for dungeon timer. The system could be way better and hopefully it will be.

I liked the other ideas you guys were posting.

I would personally like to see a reason to killing mobs within the dungeons, instead of just despawning them. Possibly make mobs drops keys for chests littered within the dungeon (keys that only last while you are in the instance). Also would like to see a boss or two more in each one.

Problem with this is in a week there will be a post with the solution to all riddles, and it will just be another stupid "time kill" trick.

    Silly idea.

There are many methods to apply to make the same riddles everytime different. That is not a problem at all.

How many riddles we talking here? Few hundred means a few weeks before a guide is out.

Few thousand is overkill, and I'd rather them spend time banging away at other things.
