We don't want instanced housing

I have a house and would demolish my house for an instanced house because I'm sick & tired of GHOST TOWNS

I also hate the mismatched houses- I'm stuck in the goblet beside a Large empty house & crappy shirogane houses with even worse crappy decor-
I'd rather have an instance house that I can fully customize without seeing neighbors ugly decor in a ward that's been abandoned

Very selfish opinion. I've been betting on houses for years now and have never owned a house. I've been betting on houses since this new system was introduced, and have yet to win one. Every plot has over 150 bids on it on my server.

I see tons of houses that are completely empty, not one piece of furniture is set. I have TONS of outdoor furniture that I have earned from events, and I can't use any of them. I know TONS of people who are just creating FC's for themselves to buy houses.

There needs to be something that changes to open up housing to other people.

With this new system I could see why you would not be able to get a house the odds reset with every time you put in a bid, but with old system you had better odds unless you were being picky of which house you were trying to get. I've had 6 houses since started this game 3 small 1 mid and 2 large. The trick was starting with small house and moving to larger house when new plots came out because in the old system those with houses would get first dibs on plots before they were purchasable. there by freeing small plots but Lessing the number of large and mid-plots. That being said would not be opposed to instance housing as long as 3 things were true. We can teleport to home and friends plots directly. There is both outside and inside environment. There would be larger and more customizable plots.

I really don't understand why some people are making the assumption that this is an either/or proposition. Island Sanctuaries has already shown us that instanced systems can be added without the current ward system being removed. However, if for some reason the developers were to find it necessary to remove wards in order to implement instanced housing, I would freely give up my cottage for a larger instanced house and never look back.

My vote is to remove the wards entirely, then put a house on the IS that you construct yourself, similar to how we build the buildings now.

You start with a small and progressively make it bigger. With each stage taking a huge amount of materials and time so you can't have it instantly.

I've had 3 Larges, 2 mediums and 5 smalls over the years.

Honestly I'm tired of having to login just to keep a house up when I need a break from the game. If I take a full year off, I want to come back on and have a house at least SOMEWHERE.

I don't think removing the current system is needed. Just give Island Sanct an instanced housing plot and make it shareable with a friend(s). At worst, remove personal from neighborhoods entirely, obviously current personal houses wouldn't be deleted. They would be granfathered in and stay until the owner would lose the house naturally.

OP needs to remove WE from anything you ever say in the future, period. Life, game, everywhere. You mean YOU and YOU aren't even thinking of your OWN future scenario playouts.

I also think like the others these neighborhoods need an HOA (only kinda joking).
The vast majority of recent players joining ffxiv seem to have ZERO designer skills what so ever.
If not horrible designs then it's simply empty plots (for other servers). Which is almost somehow worse.
