We don't want instanced housing

Noone ever said to get rid of current neighborhoods. I have a FC home + private home and would drop them in a heartbeat if they offered instanced housing.

Especially if they lured people away with a much larger item limit and REMOVED the unjust bordering criminal demolition timer.

To me neighborhoods are a waste of space, but for those who love them, they absolutely need to stay!

And yes, we need instanced, and we need it available to everyone and all characters.

However, that doesn't change the fact that there are many more people that DID NOT win a house, as evident by 100-1000 people bidding on a house at any given time on my datacenter. Only ONE person wins.

There simply aren't enough houses to go around for all the people that want it, and adding additional instanced housing (such as the ability to upgrade an apartment to a larger size) would help resolve the issue.

Since when has a redundant system in FFXIV lead to the removal of another system? Instanced housing wouldn't delete the wards.

Now don't mind me I'm just going to go check on my Squadron after running a dungeon with Duty Support NPCs followed by an dugeon with trust Npcs.

There is absolutely no reason to think the wards will be removed if they make instanced houses available.

OP - You have a house and you love your neighbourhood? That's great. I don't think any reasonable person would want to take that away from you.

I have a FC and a personal house and I do want instanced houses because I really don't care about the neighbourhood. I'd be happy to get an instanced house if it meant I could get the size and location I want.
When the lottery was introduced, four people in my FC went for houses and two of us got lucky. Neither of us has the area or size of house that we wanted, but at least we got a house. The other two people lost and entered every lottery since then but they have now given up; I really feel for them.
Pulling up the drawbridge because you've got yours, isn't a good attitude. You're having fun but a lot of people aren't. Why not support measures that would enable everyone to enjoy something similar to what you have?

I must have run into a potato once like a month ago in front of the Marketboard. Yeah, I've got a potato FC, in small slot, not far from my house, yeah. To Shirogane.

YOU don't want instanced housing. The small amount of people who would complain if the neighborhood system were replaced with a better one would be insignificant compared to the much, much much larger amount of people who would be happy to make houses, participate in the housing item economy, use seasonal event items, create and advertise venues, kit out their FCs with airship, have access to gardening, etc etc etc. More housing item sales on SE store, too.
