The way I see it has been:
If you don't like the potency on that job that is otherwise fun to play... either accept the job for being fun and having low potency or move onto another job. We are moving towards a state of homogeneity across jobs and when we reach that point, DoW/M will become like DoH. The job names will just be fluff. Toolsets, hotbars, etc will be (nearly) identical and no one can tell the difference.
