Not disappointed at all. Some of the best raids and alliance raids they've done, more great-looking dungeons, I can actually manage Island Sanctuary when usually something like that would consume my life and we are getting criterion dungeons soon.
That's classic final fantasy. Throwing in silly things like chocobos and moogles. But remember that we needed to pass the time while the engineers got it working. Such a conundrum can happen in real life if the weather or a defect prevents it from launching and there were concerns about defects in ships in other final fantasy games as well.
I'm glad that didn't happen because it's one thing for one or two of them to die but all of them? The thought of that instilled too much despair and that was exactly what they wanted because the story was about despair.I was fully clocked out during ultima thule segment with the fake sense of loss..
It was done to expand the variety of content in the game like Ocean Fishing was. They know it won't be for everyone, but when someone is trying to find a type of content in the game that suits them, they might look at raids and dismiss them, they might look at the gold saucer and dismiss it, but eventually they might look at a content type like Ocean Fishing or Island Sanctuary and like it.I un-subscribed back then for almost 2 months and came back for 6.2 island content. I think many people were hoping Islands would be more than just retainer dispatch. Even though yoshi SAID not to hope for much, I'd rather them just...not have done it?
That's part of the challenge. There is usually plenty of time to avoid it and then stack with them, or stack with them and then avoid it, depending on how far away the green puddle is. For the bait aoes you just have to bait those away and only move close when it's nearly time to stack. I think the design is intentional but it's not as easy to do consistently as other mechanic because of how it's RNG and sometimes it can just go wrong.I think it's poorly designed when you need to stack with somebody in the blue circle and there's a green puddle literally right where you need to be.
